Great for new assistant coaching hire with team.
-
I would think that T. Moren and IU Ladies program would be a desired destination for high level coaching/coaches (meaning some of the best with best credentials). Congratulations to coach Box… and player comments show that they really really liked him and had a high level of respect for him as well as his colleagues/other coaches.
-
I actually agree with that. Athletically and looking good (Parrish as usual looked pretty good) IU Ladies that participated obviously this weekend didn’t measure up vs competition. Structure and Coaching needed which they will get.
-
Yes, 0-3 just like that and did not look good doing it.
-
The way several and maybe many teams have worked the transfer portal this year…it is going to be challenging for 2023-2024 to win another 28 games and get to an elite 8 even though that is a tall order for any one season….maybe the 2 freshman can step up and make solid contributions along with Bargesser, Sandvic and Meister, stay injury free and IU Ladies work some MAGIC.
-
I wonder how many ladies in transfer portal improved their respective situations? Couple examples: North Carolina added another 5 star guard from Stanford after adding Donarski. Van Lith at LSU

IU football team for 2023 achieves really good success they could be known as the Rag Tag team…if things didn’t go that well at your last place…come to IU (football) and be Great.
-
Lauren Gustin staying at BYU. That was short, sweet and cute…and she got that out of her system. Excellent decision and good for her.
-
Obviously, she or no one else connected doesn’t care….NIL (money) will be continued or replaced or combination of both. Not sure how all that works… Mulky is a coach that I least like to hear or listen to anything she ever says along with the rest of the LSU program and again obviously she or no one else connected doesn’t care….or any one else for that matter lol. Wondering how much tampering related to transfer portal goes on or including involving players and coaches before entering portal? Van Lith deal was pretty much done before it started. (not that it mattered or matters…were there any other visits to other schools even maybe for at least like show and tell or something) Already, over 5000 on Van Lith instagram comments. It will be interesting to see how well all this works regarding LSU.

WHAT A MESS

Walk-on…it depends on how walk-on is being defined and will be defined going forward…. And opportunity to work towards non walk on status. In house unknowns outside and of course….It is IU football.
-
I didn’t realize you had watched her play that much.
-
Currently, roster IU Ladies basketball is a top 3 or 4 in big ten…OSU, Maryland, Iowa, IU. And a sweet 16+ team.
-
She would not have minutes that would affect (Holmes or L.M.) playing time. I don’t expect her to come to IU Ladies program….However, foul troubles with Parrish and Garzon (often poor officiating) a player like this could have a big role…..more high profile program and less minutes vs maintain 38 minutes per game = could stay at BYU or something else
-
I noted her on random recruiting section. I think she may have played like 38 minutes per game. Honorable Mention All American. IU Ladies could use a great rebounder 6’1” Double double player. She is keeping option open to return to BYU. 1 year of eligibility.
-
Lauren Gustin BYU is now in portal. (shopping with option to return to BYU) Double Double player at 6’1” not a pg but 4 scholarships available and IU Ladies could use a rebounder type player that can score off the bench. Also could use a 6’4”+ player.

Lexi Donarski to North Carolina

It was noted L.D. was on phone 12 hours a day (not sure how many days) when she made known her transfer….and would announce her decision last week of April or first week of May. If not the best available…IU ladies don’t need any transfer/s. It would be desirable that IU Ladies would be a destination of high priority for a transfer portal player/s for 2023-24. There are some top programs that have gained top players this month of April….and it is public or known. (twitter, instagram, forums, and facebook etc) Yes, T. Moren keeps everything tight to the vest regarding recruiting including the transfer portal.
-
100th time disagree. However, I do question the psychology of the whole team to team and player/s to player/s transfer portal. It’s a reward vs risk and adjustment situation/s.
-
IU Ladies basketball quiet or being selective and patient regarding transfer portal….room for 2 contributing high quality players….One tall (center/forward 6’4”+) and a G.B. type player plug in…..transfer portal players are still visiting. Some teams have got player/s to boost roster. That being said my opinion is player/s should view LSU with much CAUTION….for a variety (pick ‘em) reasons. sidenote: stars aligned for LSU in March Madness. And Carson 7 of 8 ft’s including 5 of 6 (3 pointers) in first half including a bank shot to end first half vs Iowa….after a somewhat tired Iowa team after late night South Carolina win.

Don’t dismiss other possible promotional, tv, movie, advertising etc deals…it seems their parents and consultants have directed them long before now. Kinda one of those situations that have all the luck or a lot going for it. Give them credit they have learned and are highly skilled in how to market themselves carry it out or implement it. (Very talented in areas other than sports). Sophisticated and smart (seem to be raised that way) in what they are doing.

Pretty admirable the perspective and smartness of them to capitalize on guidance and opportunities. My thoughts…when watching them make their run in the March Madness tournament they seemed to me to play pressure free. Yes, I think they wanted to win but I don’t think they were that upset when they lost in the tournament. They were just having a fun time doing what they do. That was my observation when watching them play in a packed gym vs IU Ladies. If they would have lost vs IU Ladies it would have been…well what is on our schedule upon our return to Miami? That no pressure attitude served them well in the tournament.
-
Just in calendar sales alone…besides everything else….Doing what they are financially suppose to do leaving most everyone in the dust…the gimmick, the opportunity times….they seem to be well guided and know what to do to make money.and the time is instantly now….besides college life which I am sure they enjoyed they have great perspectives to take advantage of opportunities….isn’t financial independence in their case one of the number one reasons to go to college.

Yep. Like fitting pieces of a puzzle together in a family bond working to achieve common goal/s towards the highest level of success in that specific endeavor. The crowds/fans and national attention of player/s and team/s matchups….and the rocking and rolling of the gigantic scoreboard and the gym Assemby Hall that is Simon Skjodt.
