Good information. Thanks 66…seems right down T.Moren/staff and program alley. Size, very good ability, but as equally important determination to reach goals and work ethic which is so important in T. Moren program in player development. (many examples of player development in T. Moren program if you are going to play). Really interesting and great how this recruit integrates living on a farm into her workouts.

Aleksa Gulbe - Casademont Zaragoza (Spain)
TTT replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Aleksa continues to be on Sun roster who has a lot of experience playing basketball. Could she be a surprise for wnba? She is highly skilled and has some size and strength. Does anyone have any information about her status? -
(2023) - G Lenee Beaumont to INDIANA
TTT replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Exactly the kind of player T.Moren and staff emphasize in recruiting. I have noticed a dominant tag line for T. Moren on her media is very direct to the point: “Do the work.” -

Aleksa Gulbe ever since she arrived at IU has always been a blue collar Class Act. She interviews appreciative, happy with a since of humor. Wishing her much success. -
Can’t say great yet (misspoke), but looks like a good one.

Great pickup for Iowa State women basketball in Stephanie Soares.

Also thinking 2022-23 if everything is within a somewhat normal atmosphere I expect IU Ladies basketball to set attendance record for home games.

WNBA money and of course playing in WNBA may be quite appealing…it is not the NBA financially. Because of current IU Lady basketball culture including (fun of a lifetime) and closeness as in family IU Lady program matches well with reasons to stay. Led by T. Moren IU Ladies basketball is becoming true what T. Moren forecasted when she was hired. It’s also good to see IU Ladies becoming a destination for top players. T. Moren and staff and whole IU Ladies basketball program are sizzling. Now, in the future including 2023 and 2024 a couple top players needed. 6’3”…plus a 6’4” and or 6’5.” (every team needs them).

With addressing shooting issues especially mid and longer range (including free throws with Scalia) IU Ladies should feel much better and much more confident after working so hard on passing, screening and cutting etc on offense and other aspects of game including defense when they see more shots going down translates into a more potent versatile scoring machine.

IU Ladies in Parrish and Scalia got some great needed Umph in ability quality, energy and confidence which should transition to everything great for next season. Does anyone have opinion on player length and rebounding (if Geary Is not on floor that leaves Holmes and 6’2” with other very talented and shooter scoring players that will play defense and compete including rebounding). IU Ladies are super well coached. I think IU Ladies will match up well with anyone in the country but I note that there are very very few teams that that have a 6’4” and 6’5” plus players/s Togo with their own talented players.

Old fanStL. Isn’t IU women basketball fun, exciting and a joy? IU women basketball and T. Moren program is definitely one of the best things going at IU. I say this because it’s what the players, T. Moren and all the coaches and those involved represent…. IU, Bloomington community, and the state of Indiana can be proud. To find out about individual players just (google a player’s or coach name plus girls or women basketball) on internet and information about each player will pop up. This includes limited information on foreign players. Also (include girls or women basketball for most players on espn player profiles for additional evaluations and rankings on players).

Got to Rebound the basketball. That will work for most competition. Should have a couple really good players coming off the bench…

My opinion…Mike, besides the 4 sure starters some decisions may be game and player circumstances. Bargesser is coming off season ending injury and will probably take time to find her way. I expect Geary to be in serious contention to be a starter with Browne playing her Browne role where needed especially behind Holmes. Meister will play a little. Peterson along with Sandvik will play at designated times. The one player that could be pretty good and play substantially is Garzon. Others may play very sparingly. This is if this roster stays pat or will there be a another transfer in and or a transfer out.

Thanks for having me Stuhoo. Double Double per game for Grace Berger, Mac Holmes, and S. Parrish…with solid performer by Chloe M.M. 22-23. (Love Chloe and what she brings. I noticed she really played her role well and looked for teammates. Next year, if Chloe could take another step and assert herself more could really solidify this 22-23 team.

It is really fun and interesting to see how T. Moren has taken an opportunity to set an Aim in the development of IU women basketball from what she started from….culture of players, coaches, support staff, and administration, community and fans. It continues to be a process that is recognizable to those who are /and become involved moving forward towards goals that I have heard T. Moren say time after time. T. Moren and her staff and players are as a group a class act. S. Parrish is the latest addition along with the other recruits coming in. Are IU Ladies there in 22-23 or is one more high level big a must??? (6’4” or at least 6’3” or even 6’5” or would 6’5” slow IU down to much plus will A.W. be sufficient when needed)…IU Ladies like to play both, up tempo or slower half court with discipline which fits Parrish. Then, an experienced 6’4” Friars transfer along with the other Lady Hoosiers make them a formidable foe…as in conference champ and final 4 contender.
