(2020) G Sydney Parrish to INDIANA
TTT replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Expecting big things from Parrish and will be a starter. Love Chloe M-M her play, posts on media and her representative of IU Ladies basketball program. This leads to what could be one of the country’s top 6th lady. Chloe will be a top utility player because of versatility to play multiple positions and has ability to come in for 4 of 5 starters thus giving her many playing minutes. If she buys into this role it could give her much confidence. Last year Chloe played very well in some big games in different situations. I also seen get a little passive at times as well though she plays smooth and play should ramp up with experience and a year older. Conclusion: Chloe will be an excellent utility player in 4 of 5 positions on the floor and depending on game situations etc could be a starter when/if called into that role. -

N. C-H was a barrel of fun to watch and congratulations to her. What a great example of IU Ladies basketball program. Plus, IU player/s getting post grad professional contracts as IU Ladies basketball program continues to develop upward. Scalia 5’10” some size will learn to play defense and comes in with advanced scoring game. -
Went with well rounded highly qualified experience with success. (point guard, defense, coaching different positions and enough experience to be a head coach). Great for make up of 2022-2023 Ladies to bring and gel the talent together in their respective roles. Great hire.
-
I assume T.Moren and staff will have Scalia playing great defense along with her offensive game and Scalia probably has the right attitude to do it. Yes, this team seems to have a lot of help coming from everywhere (if it stays healthy). The secret will be putting it all together.
-
Depth (as long as team stays healthy): That’s why Parrish and Garzon will have to be ready and buy in defensively…Parrish can put up some points. Renewed player.

Sara Scalia - Magnolia Campobasso (Italy)

Scalia is different but some of the shots she makes has some of the amazement of Clark at Iowa. -
Thinking goes up to 11 or 12 points and 7 rebounds per game for Geary on this IU Ladies team.
-
Geary is also an older experienced solid player who gets the opportunity to play with a lot of talent around her that she never had before. McNeil can just be as important as anyone as utility player on wing, guard or even maybe inside as needed. And then there’s Brown behind Holmes.
-
IU women basketball midgets lol for top 20 team. However, a positive is flexible to match up. There could be 6 starters (Geary needs to be in mix). Happiness is going to depend on how much Geary, Yarden Garzon, Scalia, and Parrish buys in defensively. Holmes, McNeil, Berger know defense expectations. Without Geary playing significant role IU will be to short. It will be interesting to watch the learning curve for this team to gel. Possibilities and flexibility.

Recognizing the significance of Candy Stripes -
Will Cahill become a member of IU coaching staff? Or Buss (though Buss is in Wisky so situation and timing may not work out unless it could work out).

(2024) PG - Aaliyah Guyton to Iowa

5’8” … It’s good to see IU ladies basketball most recently getting some guards with size 6’0” and 6’1” not that there is not a place for a 5’8” guard if good enough. -

Typical T. Moren type recruit hardworking and has the term defense in her vocabulary. I notice it is hard to find star ratings on some of the women side especially espn though espn may copy from other systems. So, how high level recruit are some of those girls coming to IU?…. They appear to be pretty high level as players with much upside. -
Julianna LaMendola 2023 6’1” gauard/wing all in for IU women basketball program…committed. Any thoughts She looks very competitive and skilled.
-
Back to NC State goes Ashley. Really liked her as in IU women basketball program and thought she did a fine job. Congrats. So who will take her place on the staff???
-
Cahill or Buss if logistics would work? Any other former IU women basketball player’s coaching besides Stanford head coach.

Early 2022-2023 IUWBB Big Ten Predictions
TTT replied to oldfanStL's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
OldfanStL…I agree with you that IU women basketball needs to have something a (more high profile place) for information all things IU Ladies basketball including recruiting, anything relevant to IU Ladies basketball, and gossip There are places to get information including here but it seems it has to be dug up and not readily available sometimes. I get tired and frankly not that interested on all things including recruiting that is so available on the men’s side. The IU Sports blog report discontinued over a year ago that use to have some individuals that debated thoughts regarding IU Ladies basketball program. IU women basketball has a much better than a sound coach and staff. (They are a lot better than sound) even though sound is included. I think T.Moren has very high goals. It seems her philosophy is to take steps and do the work. The difference is Tennessee has a past high profile tradition and IU Ladies basketball program is in the process of striving to develop a Ladies basketball tradition….but I agree I would like to see a more high profile IU Ladies basketball program forum. -

Does anyone know what the 3X3 basketball tournament is and what it means or the purpose of it…. I noticed Iowa State, Tennessee, and Texas were in it. Other than playing and trying to develop a player’s game I don’t understand the purpose. -
(2022) - PG/SG Lexus Bargesser to IU
TTT replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Of course hate that injury happened to her. L.B. is another stamp of what T. Moren and staff and IU Ladies basketball program represents. Lexus Bargesser is amazing and all the descriptive words that it has taken to get to this point. Will she or how long will it take to get back to where she was as beginning of her senior season (maybe never in track)? It will be very interesting to see where her basketball journey takes her at IU especially her junior and senior years. It’s such a long haul to recover the skills that makes her the highly regarded recruit she was and still is. IU Ladies basketball program will be a great place for her to be. -

Aleksa Gulbe - Casademont Zaragoza (Spain)

I think roster will be cut 4 players this week with first regular season game May 7. Question: Is a couple rebounds and a couple assists in 7 minutes worth more than a couple buckets/scores in this situation? -
Any timeline on her commitment decision?
-
Good information. Thanks 66…seems right down T.Moren/staff and program alley. Size, very good ability, but as equally important determination to reach goals and work ethic which is so important in T. Moren program in player development. (many examples of player development in T. Moren program if you are going to play). Really interesting and great how this recruit integrates living on a farm into her workouts.

Aleksa continues to be on Sun roster who has a lot of experience playing basketball. Could she be a surprise for wnba? She is highly skilled and has some size and strength. Does anyone have any information about her status? -
(2023) - G Lenee Beaumont to INDIANA
TTT replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Exactly the kind of player T.Moren and staff emphasize in recruiting. I have noticed a dominant tag line for T. Moren on her media is very direct to the point: “Do the work.”
