Some years more wins and some years less wins….and that’s significant improvement. over the average of 5.04 wins in the IU football history. Top solid programs after the elite football programs only average in the rough estimate range 6.75 to 7.25 wins per year. Regular season is only 12 games. There are only so many wins to go around each season. Regardless of slow learning coaching process and mistakes probably costing a win this season (maybe even 2) in a game…. No way IU should fire a football coach if a 4 game win streak happens regardless of quality that equals a 6 and 6 record going to the hoopla bowl game.

IU football frustrations include this season is that T.A. and coaching are slow learners. Things that are being observed in late part of October and November should have been strategized and handled during spring ball, summer and preseason. Examples are firing Bell, QB passing game McCulley improving, not trying to run Lucas as featured back between tackles etc…things happening recently should have been resolved before game 1. Always seem to be playing behind learning curve.

Overly excited.

After Colorado beat TCU I made comment that at end of season Colorado and IU would have identical records. At 4 and 8, 5 and 7, 6 and 6 range. And at 6 and 6 a possible bowl game match up.

I estimate a 60% chance IU makes it to a bowl game. If 2024 matches or improves by at least even one game which I estimate a 45% chance…T.A. will go nowhere nor should he.

Recently, IU did have a winning puzzle but the pieces were out of order. Husky sure is a fun dog to watch.

IU wins today… IU football players always are impressive interviewees with Fish….through the years get to see respectful, intelligent, thoughtful and thankful side to players.

Hindsight of course: DeBoer as head coach and some how T.A. as defensive coordinator and keeping Penix and some other key players that didn’t come to IU recently and those who left stayed was probably the IU pleasant dream that has turned nightmarish…

Update on future football schedule means IU gets beat by one less touchdown….more competitive improvement?

4 star at 81 is not that low. In a major program (a Providence type player…a loss for them) he could become a glue type player….important for IU.

Not so deep after starters….lots of work to do for needed improvement.

Bargesser comparison watching her a tiny bit this summer draws comparison to Cardano Hillary. Given a fully recovered leg she can be really good including improved shooting. Before high school injury she was around 55% shooter.

IU Ladies better have some very much needed help for top5 starters…because of foul trouble and dents and dings during a long season and high level talent competition.

Northwood not to bad of a team IU Ladies about 95 Northood about 50. Lot of players and combinations will play tonight and will look good. How good will be better determined vs Stanford, Tennessee, Princeton and then into big ten season. This season has the potential to go 3 different directions. It will be determined as a game to game process. Stay healthy.

D.D. is a 4 star at 81 per espn (so has a decent rating) If he and coaches are on the same page…This kind of player is needed in a program top major conference program for stability with upside development as a couple guards that may be a higher level come and go. Then, by year 3 or so D.D. could grow into an impactful player if he would stay with it.

I can agree with that for time being. However, it is really hard during season to know too much about IU Ladies health. T. M. has her own in house secretive definitions.
