  1. Pre-game. No mention specifically of Currie Jelks, but T.Moren said everyone healthy and ready to go.

    IUWBB AP/Coaches Poll

Not seeing IU Ladies beating a top 10 team at this point. 16 to 30 ranking would be accurate as there are 30 top rated or more teams that IU Ladies could win or lose because they haven’t been particularly reliable nor dominant thus far vs good teams and even not so good teams. Besides CC and Iowa (because of CC) there is much parity among big ten teams.
  3. IU men’s basketball is to much mirroring IU football in the 21st century because there should be a much higher expectation for basketball due to a past men’s basketball tradition. IU. 79 Kansas. 76

Teri Moren Named IUWBB Head Coach

Yes, she had to overcome some barriers that is what makes it so awesome. She and her staff really worked hard to get the IU Ladies basketball culture to where it is today….(and I remember her saying (humbly and confidently)a few years back that she had to learn a few things as well). The transfers were more of resistance to a new culture change than anything else. Buss and Cahill (great people and players themselves) along with the others that stayed bought in. ….just an interesting research of comments and T. Moren growth and accolades including coaching wins, assignments on national USA teams etc.

Teri Moren Named IUWBB Head Coach

Reminiscing from when T. Moren started as IU Ladies basketball coach as to what it was and the barriers especially the first couple years (riding Buss and Cahill) to where it is in 2023-2024 and how it came to be over the T. Moren era thus far is just awesome.
  6. P. Whitten is by far the best IU president since Ryan and Ehrlich. She is interested, visible, and supportive in IU sports programs. Early this year I noted that IU men’s basketball is a middle of the pack big ten team and that is where it will remain under the M.W. era. Not sure about the big time well known coaches are the answer. However, might want to keep an eye on the new (3rd year coach) up the road in Terre Haute. He is in the process of making immediate winning progress. Culture change… It didn’t take him long…at least for consideration…if success continues to rapidly grow….when that time comes.

(2020) G Sydney Parrish to INDIANA

Sidney Parrish 2024-2025 coming back. Let’s go.
  8. Noting correlation of the word “Work” C. Cignetti: Let’s work. T. Moren: Do the work….. IU Ladies are relying on how much they can improve that will correlate to how successful they are going to be 2023-2024…so far a long way to go.

They could just open up a second season in both, football and basketball and baseball to all teams and every sport for all tournaments. Even individual sports. Over the years expansion no matter how far expanded there is the argument that certain teams on the bubble or even near the bubble should be in or out. Even if expansion was to everyone except one there would be an argument for that particular team or individual should be included. Kinda like the Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer effect. Before recent years you had same argument about bowl games. Who received bowl bids vs those who didn’t and arguments over who went to what bowl except for assigned bowl games like the major 4 bowls on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
  10. Sunday afternoon walk note: unfortunately large brace for Currie-Jelks.

Jogging my memory…After looking it up February, 1987. I also thought about 40 years ago. Closer to 37 years. Coach Ron Meyer and Bobby Collins along with Eric Dickerson and winning SMU was pretty big in earlier and mid 1980’s. I think what they did was peanuts compared to what is now legalized today.

I remember many now (losing track of time meaning more than several years ago) that SMU received the death penalty in football. At 10-2 that is proof there is always hope…in the American Athletic Conference.

    They Fired Tom Allen!

Lynn to USC from UCLA as defensive coordinator for a cool $2,000,000 per year
  15. You forgot the retirement buyout package.
  16. Fans saying things and head coach saying things are different.
  17. Cig hasn’t even scored an IU TD yet.
  18. Totally different. Not the head coach and OSU and Michigan don’t need any motivation by head coach comments.
  19. Nope. Because Teri Moren and other mature head coaches would stop short in a public forum saying other schools suck. Very immature. (even BK waited until he built success before he put JACK @$$ to represent Purdue (AD) on his weekly Sunday morning tv show with Chuck Marlow). Definitely locker room bulletin board material for other schools. Uncalled for and not a smart way to draw a line in the sand.
  20. Good and fun, up until new Coach yells that schools who have beat up IU in football for many years suck.

Watching top teams play sometimes they look like what IU tries to do but does not do and top teams do it and make it look easy both, team wise and individual players.
  22. After watching post game press conference I noticed some coughing and wondering if some of the IU Ladies were a little bit under the weather.
  23. There should be two happy coaches: one who receives a pocket full of cash to work to clean up a mess and work to make some IU football history. The other receives a pocket full of cash to leave an unpleasant situation and start a new job/career life on his own timeline.
