It’s awful for Kiandre Brown. Kiandre always has a smile on her face with different injuries (and then this one) and her willingness and effort to accept her role is commendable throughout her career.

Bad breakfast for IU Ladies??? IU Ladies cannot continue slow starts if they get away with it this game, it will eventually bite them again. T. Moren is correct in saying IU Ladies did not play their best basketball vs Iowa which observation of this game leads me to believe Iowa played better but is not that good per IU Ladies should have won game. The home stretch of impressive wins vs Iowa (first game), OSU, Michigan…OSU and Michigan on road were playing a little short handed due to injuries. On verge of confidence swing. Halftime is a Blessing

DISTURBING FOR IU Ladies get rusty quickly vs Iowa and MSU after week…plus had a little bit of tendency to get off to slow starts during season. In tournament/s this is what happens…YOU HAVE TO GUARD THE 3 BALL. Michigan State coming out fighting take no prisoners…IU Ladies coming out like they are entitled to win will equal loss. Unless things change but no evidence of change yet.

A rematch with Iowa would be nice…however, IU Ladies start with MSU and win on Saturday vs Michigan or OSU and win the big ten tournament on Sunday. Weekend Goal Accomplished. Note: I have watched T. Moren interviews, game post game conferences and etc for what are now fast moving years. Whether she is in agreement or not agreement or neutral I have never seen an individual give any more of; professional, appreciative, respectful, thoughtful, complete, surgically breaking down of question/s while intelligently answering questions without being long and overly drawn out winded answers. Just pure class…. Maybe, she could be used in high level government leadership?? Answer: No, enjoying the ride in the T. Moren and staff and players and fans IU Ladies Basketball Program ERA.

TV revenue has a communistically discriminatory history towards the college women basketball game. It is very promotional on the boys and mens side (arguably high school and college womens basketball relevancy is less than 50 years old) vs girls and women side of things. TV promotion and revenue comes in all kinds of JUNK for other tv programs as well. When efforts are made on women college basketball side it is growing and will continue to grow. Currently, in women college basketball to me it has an atmosphere of interest that has been and is being created parallel to what Larry Bird and Magic Johnson created in the NBA at the time. NOT MONEY BUT INTEREST…that is being done without the equivalent level of tv and marketing promotion.

Afterwards Maryland calmed down vs Ohio State by 2. (Home court swings have been big this past week). There is a good chance for an upset along the way but whoever plays the most true to themselves among IU LADIES, Maryland, Iowa and to a lesser extent don’t count out Ohio State will win The Big Ten Conference Tournament this weekend. GO IU LADY HOOSIERS!

There was never any doubt in my mind that IU Ladies would try to win last game and it would not have mattered who, why, where, when or what game it was. (talk about resting starters is and was crazy talk). In the regular season grand scheme of things it means one thing and that is IU LADIES ACCOMPLISHED GOAL OF UNDISPUTED REGULAR SEASON BIG TEN CHAMPS…THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY. Last win streak was 14….this weekend is opportunity to start with 3 game win streak.

IU Ladies basketball is a team of great character and are # 1. Hate her style or not Clark is of great character and competitive as well for her team. She has endured many teams best shot at her. Maryland at Maryland was successful.

Next year Garzon instincts on a play like that should be much improved kinda coming out of a shell and Parrish and teammates instincts should be improved in communication about those kinds of things. (coaches, Berger, Holmes, Moore-McNeil especially should have been in communication with Garzon on that play). However, Iowa did execute the play when they were given the opportunity.

I tend to agree about Garzon being involved like you say…not sure how she was coached on that…she is a freshman and has at times in low key manner kind of disappears a little from game only to make big 3 ball shots or really good plays. Off season weight room and another year in program if she wants it should really help her.

IU Ladies Reset into another winning streak beginning Friday. (In tournaments…big ten teams know each other, especially March Madness you have to guard 3 ball and hit 3’s yourself…Princeton almost had IU beat last year and remember Arizona). And Maryland killed Iowa with 3 ball and all kinds of shots last week. Caveat, it was on Maryland home court.

Maybe a 50 50 call and you may get the call in middle of game and more of chance on home court and lesser chance of getting call with 1.5 seconds last shot.

Last 1.5 just wasn’t good. However, Iowa executed the last 1.5. and IU Ladies did not and were executed…on.

The last 1.5 seconds there are a couple things in hindsight from clanging last ft off rim ( have to make sure you hit rim) creating scramble for ball to double team Clark, to putting Wisne or most likely Geary in game to guard in bounds pass (jumping up and down with her long arms waving and extended. However, disappointed in that IU Ladies allow Clark to score 30+ in both games (though first time it worked in IU’s favor)….game 2 continued to drive and score and hitting shots. Where is a better defensive strategy….and success would be 22 to 24 points. Maryland (@ Maryland) held Clark to 10 points.

Agree. However, I think last winning plays are always way over hyped. Yes, they are fun for the winners. In this case be ahead by 4 or 5 points and it doesn’t matter. Like T. Moren stated it’s never one play (at end of game in this case). It’s plays during game. Iowa only had 7 turnovers and probably played at least as good if not better defense than IU plus IU let Iowa get to comfortable with 3 ball. A couple plays that come to mind Parrish passed up a 3 ball (Parrish had hot hand) to pass to Berger that resulted in turnover and also threw a pass that led to Iowa steal….Though Parrish had a really good game…Parrish has ability (next year) and probably this year (confidence) to help Holmes take over a game. I think you will see that next year. In this game didn’t get enough from Scalia. Overall eye test, IU Ladies basketball are a better team than Iowa.

Hindsight is useless. Another option in a time out…Before second ft would for Holmes to have thrown ball hard off the rim on second ft to create a helter skelter scramble for the ball as time ran out. Plus it may have caught Iowa off guard. However, hindsight is useless.
