Can’t see decision makers including Dolson and Whitten willing to walk on pens and needles with Beard for the time he would be coaching (parallel to Knight or someone like Greg Marshall and his then wife (at Wichita State….seems Marshall is doing well outside of coaching).

All the foul trouble some of the IU Ladies should be loose by playing but also rested. -

USC is beatable and regardless of what the score ends up being IU Ladies are capable of winning. -

Refs over doing it trying to make up for IU playing kinda IU home game in Indianapolis to make things fair or even. Felt the same way when IU lost to Miami at home in NCAA tournament a couple years ago. Excellent to great effort to physically play through refs and a physical Oregon team who this time they had to play with a little travel fatigue towards end of the game. -

For not playing hardly,,, Faith Wiseman is playing very well by doing what she is capable of doing helping rebounding, taking a couple charges, and getting the ball to shooters. -

So how much money do the refs have bet on these games? (not sure how much women college refs get paid…but it would be a way to supplement income) -

Zone second half -
Obvious observation/s….no secret: Kenny Brooks KY coach: South Carolina just brings in McDonald’s All Americans for MacDonald’s All Americans. LSU, UCLA, USC, UCONN, and Texas (7 on team), ND 6), and some others to maybe a lesser extent. T. Moren over the years she realized her goal of a regular season big ten championship. She has mentioned a national championship to a much lesser extent especially recently. However, the odds (true of at least 90% of the Ladies college basketball programs) the odds are really stacked against IU Ladies and the other 90%.

From the beginning silence equals Brad Stevens except saying one statement that he is happy in Boston. Nothing else from IU decision makers about anyone nor any direction. Nothing more from Stevens. Dusty May and Michigan extend relationship shortly afterwards.

First game winner was the team that played the least worse…. a game that IU Ladies got out played physically squandering a lead like run out of gas in the end on west coast visit. Second game was a win vs Washington. IU Ladies should win this game by more than a couple points. -
Josh Schertz is one of the coaches who understands a 3 pointer counts more than 2 points and coaches dynamic offense but actually coaches a dynamic defense as well.
-
Or he could put winning on the floor at IU immediately. The guy is 21st century likable (good personality). Players always seem to be unified.
-
Winning track record in basketball before ISU. AD at the time deserves credit for picking him up.(tennis as a player who wanted to pursue basketball overcoming some barriers both, personal and athletically). Schertz wins. Josh Schertz is no more of a gamble than (almost) any other possibilities listed for head coach at IU. Kaizen would probably fit into Pam Whitten wheelhouse (Schertz philosophy)kinda parallel to Cignetti about improving.
-
IU men’s basketball needs a coach that will have a 25 year career at IU and all things good for a quarter century.
-
Well, a lot of these major league coaches do get paid $4,000,000 a year. (always thinking about how it’s a different world in small college sports and individuals coaches and players)
-
Katie Geralds gets another year at Purdue. Katie is doing quite well for herself considering. Last summer got a raise from $550,000 to $700,000. A $2,000,000 buyout before June 30. Money can’t always buy love and wins.

A close game is ok once in a while. However, sometimes and more than a few should be solid 10 to 20 point wins with an occasional blowout accompanied with a 80 to 90+ percent win record 80 to 90 percent of the time. -
It would be charitable work.

Does an Oregon win make Dana Altman a candidate for the IU coaching job? To old. -
-
Being at Depauw grad is he running interference for the other Brad as a favor. Or did the other Brad recommend this Brad? This Brad has been on the hot seat multiple times and that is not good.
-
As head men’s basketball coach Brad Stevens would be an asset for the IU Ladies Basketball program as well something that seems to be lacking.
-
If Dolson had his guy which would now be about two months now I would say Brad Stevens stock for IU job goes way up. A great scenario would be Brad Stevens as a highly paid General Manager of IU basketball operations (GM may work with T. Moren women as well) and Josh Schertz as head men’s basketball coach.
-
I have Schertz in top 5 or 6. But I have Alford there as well. Looking for someone who would be vested (program ownership). Losing and or program failure is not an option mentality…..after Stevens, May, and really only after 2 or 3 others…..Alford and Schertz. Not all the more favorite choices would be vested. Sure, they want to win and be successful but if it doesn’t work out they just move on.

Josh Schertz seems to be a Pam Whitten type coach.
