And after Indiana State Josh Schertz in year one under the radar…St Louis 2024-2025 18 wins 13 losses (while dealing with a couple player injuries) after St Louis basketball 2023-2024 season 13 wins 20 losses.

1. Brad Stevens 2. Dusty May 3. Josh Schertz

Unless the ghost of Tony Hinkle has been hired just go ahead and hire this guy. He gives a good interview.

Yea rah go get em Dr. Pam Whitten. She is a very smart woman in all this mess.
-
If not Stevens or May put Schertz and McCollum in brown paper bag and shake it up and see who falls out first. Hire him. Schertz gave McCollum advice on his move to Drake from division two. It must have been pretty good advice. I like the Schertz story…a tennis star that moved to basketball that was never on a basketball team at 5’6.” I like Schertz. Highly engaged people person.
-
Schertz is a humble but high level people person and a smart popular 21st century style of play that given the NIL he would put a team together to what IU fans are looking for. Just need to foresee it. Unrelated: T. Moren was hired from Indiana State
-
I set 50 to 1 odds on Josh Schertz.

Saturday, IU men’s basketball won a home game against a very average Ohio State basketball team with a very average Ohio State coach. That’s it. Take away high paying coaching salaries. Take away $6,000,000 NIL…how much do players and coaches really care? Without the NIL most of the players would not even be at IU. In addition to wins…that kind of ridiculousness in that kind of money coaches and players should be vested in both the university and community in major ways and not just by fly by the seat of your pants but a continuous year to year culture of positive involvement.

T. Moren is off limits.

Emotions in the moment. Sure. But not starving or destitute in poverty. Go enjoy the money and retirement and or the phase of opportunities if you choose to pursue that is your choice. -

Ohio State coach doesn’t have any head coaching experience other than associate, assistant, video coordinator, and director of operations at Valparaiso and OSU….good college academics though. -

After this game will Ohio State and IU have identical records at 18-13? Coaches salaries And $6,000,000 NIL buys this? Senior day seems inappropriate, really. -

This game not near as well coached as St John vs Marquette. The players on both teams moved well and played hard at a higher level. -

Announcers need to calm down a little these days….yes it’s a good to maybe even a very good play….but not as remarkable that like it’s never been seen before. -
Beware of short term longevity coaches about to become boring at ages 62 and up.

Kenny Brooks KY coach says KY was right there in the game through about 7:00 minutes left in fourth quarter vs South Carolina. Kenny Brooks coach at KY playing South Carolina says: they just bring in another MacDonald’s All American for another MacDonald’s All American when player substitutions happen during game. South Carolina fans response: Maybe KY coach should recruit better.

Mr Obvious says that Brad Stevens is coming back home again in Indiana. silently.

Per A.R. on B97 live stream Lilly twisted ankle getting tangled up with another player tripping after stepping on the other player’s foot. Other player being aggressive but nothing flagrant or intentional. -

That would be Brad Stevens as GM in charge of both, men and women basketball operations. Actually, then you could have a guy like Josh Schertz to coach the men’s program. -

8 3 pointers made today. 9+ 3 pointers made is key for this year’s IU Ladies wins. -

It’s been a work in progress but in sophomore year T. Moren wanted Garzon in addition her 3 point game to get more physical from her inside game and she has improved in this part of her game. -

Though to late that’s what Tom Crean should have prepared Cody Zeller to do against Syracuse Zone in NCAA tournament throughout that whole season. -
