Sorry, that’s fair. I understand the angst with Woodson the coach. I have it as well. But as much as you can hammer him for his coaching ability, if you ever saw what he did on the court as a player, how much he sacrificed his senior year, you would have to give him his props. As I said, I hope that we can somehow move on from his coaching era but still be able to recognize him for the IU legend that he is.

I hope that you are right. Here’s the deal: I love Woody. Any true IU fan that tells you different isn’t really an IU fan. That dude came back from back surgery in December 1979 to help us win a Big 10 title and I know that he cares about the program. But as much as you love the dude as a player, sadly he just hasn’t been the answer as a coach. I sincerely hope he recognizes that and steps aside so we can still honor Him for the good that he’s done over the years for the university.

Not too long ago, I re-watched the game with Maryland from the 81 tournament. Total domination.. I’ll never forget the line in the Sports Illustrated article: “after sporting Maryland an 8-0 lead (like Renaldo Nehemiah giving Jackie Gleason a few hurdles head start)”. ROFLMFAO!!

His best team, in my opinion, was the 75 team. Had Scott may never broke his arm nobody beats that team. Hell ,they were good enough to win the ABA championship that year.

Don’t give me wrong I’d love to have him, But after what happened with Donovan and Stevens I’m wondering if this is a little bit of a smoke screen with BP? Guess we’ll see.

Mine says the same. Whether BP is actually in play I’m not really sure at this point, but I can’t imagine any scenario where Woody is on our sideline again next season.

What does your gut tell you, Chris? to me, it’s pretty telling that none of the IU coaches were at sectional games. something without question is going on.

I would settle for us paying 100 million - or 30 million, if that would get the job done. Just anything above giving Woody another year. I would love to see Woody actually retire right before the Michigan State game. The dude is an IU legend and I would hate absolutely hate for him to go out on bad terms. He at least gave it a shot, but it’s pretty clear he’s a square peg trying to fit in round hole.

It will be really interesting to hear who pulled the alarm. IU was able to stem the momentum after that delay. Without question, that alarm was a significant factor in the win.
