Board seems to have dissolved into a ‘ throw a name of any living or dead basketball coach ,who realistically or not , IU has supposedly, should or shouldn’t hire as next coach’. So no.

Don’t think he signed so can go anywhere he wants.

And likewise, before anyone crowns May the next coming maybe see how his future falls in the next couple years.

Wasn’t that long ago everybody was criticizing him for NOT recruiting McNeely after he committed. The hate is real. ( AND IM NOT A COACH WOODSON FAN, SO NOT DEFENDING)

Maybe he went down there to dissuade Sisley from coming? Just kidding.

After reading these weeks of “ next coach” conversations, I think it’s fortunate that it’s not up to this board to hire the next coach. One would never get hired. ( I have no favorite ) Luckily , Dolson is leading the decision process and not any of us participants. Hiring a coach is a subjective decision as Nostradamus is not hiring so it’s all a crapshoot of sorts.

Fun fact. Remember Larry Bird saying something to the effect that after so many years you need to move on because players stop listening and things get stale. Doubt Self would leave Kansas, don’t really have an opinion o; him. How many years does he realistically want to coach?

Can one enter the transfer portal before you actually enroll in the school you’re transferring from?

I don’t see why the university couldn’t make an announcement something like “ we have hired coach X effective at the conclusion of the current season whenever that occurs. Hopefully, after a long run to the NCAA championship.” There are advantages to IU and the new coach in making the announcement asap. And certainly would close the door to Woodson IU career. Then again, can see them wait until the season is officially complete.

Have no insight, but being that Baylor is a private Baptist university and he and his wife appear to be devout Christians who are quite comfortable in Waco and Baylor I don’t see him wanting to relocate to Bloomington and a public institution. He’s been there a long time.

Also noticed you said “ going to pay” instead of “ willing to pay”. Freudian slip? Too intense nitpicking?

Oh, oh. Might this be an indication of reluctance on BS’s part? Although increase might also be an indication of willingness to throw the bank at him.
