If you go by what Dolson said in the press conference he is looking for a faster pace offense. If you watch TT play you would see a very slow pace offense.

Coaching Candidate Thread: Calbert Cheaney
IU Scott replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well he was on the staff under Crean's best two seasons -
How sports are going you won't be seeing coaches stay 25+ years in one place. Get Belein in here and give us a great 6 years and get the program back to where it is supposed to be. You can't go right from 0 to 100 but you have to build up your speed first.

No he is not to old
-
Maybe Bill self is leaving KU for IU and Turgeon goes to KU where he went to school LOL!
-
It said power 5 conference and Marquette and Depaul are not in a power 5 conference
-
I hadn't seen where Iowa St. has hired a new coach
-
That has been the case the last 3 times IU hired someone considered a top candidate
-
I would assume that would be Iowa St. and not IU

Trade deadline is the 25th

Is he someone who has posted other things that have came true because I truly doubt he knows anything.

I guess I haven't heard about this guy who still thinks it is Stevens

I was looking at the roster and if we lose those 3 in the portal but keep everyone else then it is a good roster to start with. PG- Lander 2G- ? Hopefully get a great 6'5 shooting guard SF- Hunter PF- TJD C- ? hopefully a 6'10 long and athletic center who can step out and shoot outside Bench RP Leal Galloway Geronimo Brunk Duncomb

That was what I predicted after the season ended

Are we going to Address the BIG TEN Elephant in the room?
IU Scott replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think it was a couple of years ago but Rabby talked to several top recruits in the country. They said that they did not want to play in the big ten due to the style of play -
If anyone wants to give their tickets up give them to me

To me al of this has really hurt the offense in the college game. To me the best shot to take is the open shot and I don't care it it is 1 ft, 10 ft or 22 ft. It is funny that using this strategy over the years in college that scoring as a whole has went down and shooting percentage is down as well.

I am sorry for being a little edgy earlier but I am and older passionate IU fan. I just want IU to get back to the top of the big ten and competing nationally. I also would love to see this fan base get back to what it was once was and that is everyone is behind the program. The last 20 years it has been so fragmented and to me this doesn't help the program in any way. I know we each have certain criteria we want in our next coach and some won't be happy whoever is the next coach is. I did not like the Archie hire because I really wanted Greg Marshall. I also backed Archie after the hire and gave him 4 years to judge the hire.

Look at sister Jean she is 101 and still going strong

He uses analytics which has ruined the game of basketball. When you take half the court away to defend it makes it easier to guard you. It is all 3's and layups and nothing else. if you aren't hitting your 3's then you are in bad shape.

With a huge buyout as well
-
Musselman was 20-12 last year at Arkansas which was Archie's record last year. So we are talking about Musselman over one great year at a power 5 conference.

Well Oats is winning with other coaches players for the most part

LOL! I have been a fan of IU longer and most on here has been alive. I know what great IU teams look like and what made those teams great. If we can't get guys like Stevens or Bennett or Beard then I would rather go with an IU guy over the next flavor of the month coach. Crean and Archie was considered very good hires who was up and coming and how did that work.
