Well if we want to interview Oats, Mussellman or anyone else in the sweet 16 we have to wait. -

What is an embarrassment is not the coaching search but how our fans are reacting to it. They are trolling the fan base knowing how we will react to e very little news out there. they put something positive an dour fans goes crazy thinking we are getting a top coach. The next day they come up will something they know the fan base will not like to watch us go crazy. Just look to last Friday and how nuts we went when we actually thought we was getting Stevens. -
to get rid of Archie
-
At least they weren't killing our own then but Purdue
-
Why? he is doing due diligence.
-
Also I don't think it is right to just judge things on tournament success and that is the only important thing to look at. Everybody just looks at results when we look at coaching hires but to me the most important thing is the fit of the coach to the program. With crean and Archie we mainly looked at how they did in the tournament and thought they were good hires. Neither one of them really fit with this program and fan base.

Mpre like seeing these kind of searches for 50 years and knowing their is always a lot of smoke screens going on. Just look at the NFL and all the rumors going around free agency and the draft and 95% of things don't happen or was not true. Also what has Dolson done that would make you not trust him right now. He did what most of the fans wanted and that was to fire Archie even with the buyout. Also I will give whoever is hired a chance before I judge the hire unlike al ot of fans

So just look it as a normal job application in the real world. Does an HR department only bring in 1 resume at a time and look at it to see if they are qualified and want to hire that one. No they keep the job open and looks at 100's of resumes and then decide who they want to bring in for an interview. So what is so different in a coaching search when you want to look at multiple coaches before bringing in the few for interviews.
-
We are probably reaching out to a lot of different coaches. When you apply for a job do you think your resume is the only one that the HR department is going to look at before making a decision.

because it is true and feel we as fans are part of the reason IU basketball isn't what it use to be. I just see more and more fans who probably had no clue about IU basketball before they attended IU. I just don't think those fans totally understand what IU basketball is all about or what it takes to win at IU. Today people just have knee jerk reactions and don't actually think things through before speaking. these media guys know how we are and they probably are having a lot of fun at our expense seeing the meltdown here.
-
I don't understand why it would be a concerned. It is not like he sets eyes on one person then goes to the next one when turned down. He probably are reaching out to a lot of different coaches to gouge their interest and nothing more. You want him just to go after one guy like Glass did and hire the first one you interview.
-
You also have to do your due diligence and do a thorough back ground check on his candidate as well
-
because most of the things we hear is not true. I just get frustrated with this fan base because it is not wat it use to be. I just can't believe how dumb about basketball this fan base has gotten over the last few years

some of that is probably true but no one in this fan base wants to see the reality -
How do you know that is true at all. Just like the Matta rumor was shot down as untrue.
-
Again there are candidates that still could be in the tournament so maybe they are waiting to talk to them.

I have seen the best of IU basketball and the worst of it and right now IU is no better job than UT. I think it is time for this fan base to take their crimson colored glasses off and see the reality of this program. We might not agree with the perception of this fan base but there is a lot of truth to it as well. I have for years thought this fan base has been a big detriment to the overall health of the program. Nobody wants to hear or see it but it is there.
-
What does IU have that UT doesn't

This fan base is so gullible and will believe any story out there. Just let Dolson do his job before judging the hire and you wonder why people nationally think we are nuts. We might not like what they think of us but there are a lot more truth to it than we want to think. -
Probably is with their money
-
This fan base is so bi polar where you are up one minute and down the next just because of one tweet by someone who might or might not know anything
-
To say offense were slower back in the day is so inaccurate. Just watch the 87 final four game aganst UNLV and the pace in the game was so much better than we see today. Even after makes both teams didn't just walk the ball up the court but would throw the ball up quickly

Gonzaga didn't win in 2017

So if they are talking about rabbits then he will be announced on Easter
