Mike Woodson to be next IUBB coach. Thad Matta to be associate AD
IU Scott replied to iubb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
UCLA had their chance but lost their last 5 games of the season and if they had won a few of those they would not be in this situation. I will never want to see a 1 seed duke playing a 16 seed Providence. What makes the tournament so special early n is seeing a 15 seed beating a 2 and seeing these kids get a chance to compete against the best teams. I take the first two days of the tournament off but if they just went to the top 64 teams I would probably stop taking those days off. -

That would totally ruin the tournament and ask UMBC about those participation trophy. Sounds like you are kind of new to the tournament selection process. To me they need to eliminate 4 of the at large bids and go back to 64 teams. -

Because those teams won their conference and got an automatic bid, Also making 4 16 teams play in the play in game makes it harder on the 1 seed. In the past those teams in the play in game would all be 16 seeds. Now two of the teams who are 16 seeds would use to be 15 seeds. -

I think all the play in games should be the last 8 of the at large teams -

Love the tournament every year -
Maybe some players just can't play for Cal and have seen some flourish after they transfer. we are watching one right now playing for UCLA in Jurang.

Figured he would go to UK

Johnson and Gurley -
I rather have Gurley from Furman as the stretch 4
-
To me even if lander and Franklin leave we could be alright if we bring in Johnson from Pitt and the PF from Furman Gurley. If we lose the rest of the portal guys in Geronimo and Race then we would have to recruit a couple more guys hopefully both that can shoot. PG- Johnson/RP 2G- Stewart/Leal SF- Hunter/Galloway PF- Gurley/Duncomb C- TJD/Brunk

I am ready for Hoosier Hysteria

I hope that is not an NCAA violations

I think Stewart would step right in at the 2G and replace him quit well. I think Woodson wants to have bigger wings so having 2 6'4 wings probably is not what he is looking for.

Trayce Jackson-Davis Announces Return to Indiana Basketball (QUOTES IN OP)
IU Scott replied to Trish's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If Franklin and Lander comes back and we add a stretch 4 who is like 6'9 and another shooter we should be in good shape. If you look at what some of the top teams in the league could lose then we could be in good shape competing in the big ten. -

Great news and I hope TJD stays in the gym all summer to get his shot developed -
Great news for coach Woodson and the IU fans

I had Dr J on my list

Seriously though what has Oats and Musselman really done to warrant all of these jobs. Also I think to many people don't realize the importance of culture and knowing the University they will be coaching at.
-
If he is then I think Stewart will step in and take his place. Also I think Coach Woodson want to have more size on the wings with 6'6-6'8 guys and doubt if he would want to go with a 3 guard lineup.
-
If they can't handle that kind of coaching then go elsewhere and be happy but most top players wants to be pushed to greatness.
-
If they want a former UNC guy who has the most experience it would be Wes Miller
-
That is a shocker

Minnesota could be losing a lot of players

For some reason I never liked when players wore single digits numbers especially big guys. I don't remember any IU players wearing single digits until Jay Edwards wore #3 and Lyndon Jones wearing #4 -
Hunter did against Iowa two years ago
