They don't want teams from the same conference to play early in the tournament so they might play around with the seeding a little. They try to balance out the brackets do that is why you see tea.s sent out west. This year was different because the tournament was in one location.

So you want to change the way the tournament has been selected the last 37 years because one team made a good run to the final 4 LOL! I guess we need to agree to disagree on this topic. You might not think it is right but I would bet 85% of college basketball fans rather see the 15-16 teams get in over a mediocre team from a power 5 conference teams. I hate when I see teams like Belmont go 28-4 and lose in their conference tournament and not get in but a 18-14 power conference team gets in.

Yes it does. just because you make a run in the tournament doesn't mean your resume was good enough to get into the tournament. VCU did the same thing that UCLA did back in 2011 and that team was not really that great. Do you py attention to the college game because no way in hell that a 15 seed would be in the top 64 of the tournament. If you are truly taking the top 64 teams without automatic bids those 13-16 seeded teams would never be in the tournament.

How do you know you said you weren't alive to see the 79 ISU run

Well they played in a smaller conference but they beat everyone on their schedule so they deserve it. It is not like IU is the only team to ever go undefeated but just the last. To me it is not that huge of a deal any longer that we are the last undefeated team.
