I see people talk about how all of this money that the NCAA makes and that the players should get a cut if it. Might need to look deeper to see that a lot the money goes to funding a lot of sports at the D1 level plus other three divisions. did some calculations about how much it cost for just scholarship money for just both basketball teams and football just at IU. Basketball 13 men's/15 woman's and I calculate $50,000 per player. Might be more at some places and probably less at others. 28x$50,000=1.4 million so say there are 340 D1 schools who issues scholarships $480,000,000 Football 85 scholarship players. 85×$50,000= $4.25 mil and say 120 D1 football. $510,000,000. So look how much it cost to fund just scholarships for 3 sports in D1 sports. That is not taking account the other 20+ sports each school has and the other divisions in college. You have cost to cover travel for all of these teams. You also have to cover these kids under the schools insurance policies. It is so easy saying that the NCAA makes all if this money and the players should get paid because of it. You need to look deeper at the cost it is to run each athletic department in college sports and how many of them don't bring in a lot of money.

Maybe neither since we don't have a spot right now for either one.

I not sure OSU would be in the top tier. If all the players return to UM and TJD comes back I think those two are at the top with MSU.
-
Were they at 13 last year or did they keep some open
-
They pretty much underachieved for most of this year until making the run in the tournament.

But we have had a lot of TJD's over the years so that really is my point. Also we even soled out AH the first couple of years under Crean with walk ONS playing.

See where I disagree with people is that I don't think individual players is who brings in the huge amount of money. People attend games and watch them because of the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back. Players come and goes but the constant is the program which is what fans spends their money on.

So he would work well with Reneau since he is more of a low post player
-
Do you make the same as the CEO of the company you work for. The workers do all the work that makes the money yet the higher ups gets most of the money. College athletes compensation is probably more than a lot of regular workers make.

Is he low post type of a big or a stretch 4 type

They aren't professional athletes
-
You are supposed to earn the money by actually doing stuff like advertising or signing autographs and not just handed over money
-
I don't buy that these kids were taken advantage of. If they were being taken advantage of please sign me up because college athletes had it made. They were getting $50,000 to $60,000 a year and free housing and all the free advertising they could want.

The thing is that they are not making money on name, Image or likeness and not having to earn that money. I new this is what NIL would lead to and it will be the end of college sports that I love.

Just say Leal pays his own way and nobody leaves that could cause problems with playing time. Will Kopp be happy from being a starter to maybe being the 12th guy in the rotation.
-
These older coaches are probably fed up with the path that college basketball is headed

Can't have 14 scholarship players
-
Because there is no way 13 4 or 5 star players will be willing to sit at the end of the bench. You should have the 11-13 players be guys like Leal who might develop their last couple of years and who are happy to be on the team.
-
No team plays 11-13 players and most only play a 7-8 man rotation. Just look at the final four teams and I don't think any of them had 13 scholarship players.
-
Agree
-
Then that would push a current rotation players down to the 11-13 slot who won't be happy about it. If you are needing a rotation player then replace a current rotation player who is not playing well.

Those three won't be on the floor together in the front court

Banks will play way before Gunn will
