We did score 110 last year against the Syracuse zone And heard people talking about how our zone offense was better than the man offense. We just had a bad game against the zone late but it doesn't mean overall the zone offense is bad.

At IU football they should only schedule automatic wins in the non conference. With playing in the East every win is important so no need to schedule oisdible losses. When coaches jobs are on the line if you don't make a bowl then this is the route you should go.

Well if the AD got his way and hired Beilein instead of the president wanting Sampson we wouldn't be in this situation. Beilein would have been great at IU

I just wonder what those who criticize people for accepting mediocrity has actually done themselves to try to change things. 1) Stop watching every game and make IU games rating so low they start to lose money. That will show them. 2) Don't pay for tickets so the lose money on tickets, concessions and parking that will show them. 3) Stop all social media, podcast and message boards about IU sports to show them we are fed up. 4) Stop buying merchant so they lose money, that will show them. Now that they lose all of this money they won't have the money for hiring top coaches and won't be able to update facilities. No coaches or players will want to come and play with no fan support, that will show them.

I have heard coaches say the hardest week to get players attention is right before Christmas break and we saw some big upsets that week.

I know the history quit well and seen 3 national championships. I want to get back to that but we might not ever get back to that. If you look early in the history of the sport where teams won big but never got back there. OSU won 2 championships in the early 60's and haven't won one since. I still think our Conference hinders every team from being elite. I think the style of play and how the game is played hinders the conference from getting elite talent. Also when we were truly elite the game was way more regional and now it is national especially in recruiting. We were able to get most of the top recruits from a 3 states but now these kids go all across the country. With more and more games being on TV these players family can see them play. With summer basketball these players are seen by every coach in the country. I guess I don't know what we are fans can do to change this because we really have no influence on anything. I have emailed AD before about my unhappiness with the program and twice they actually fired the coach. It didn't help this year with the football program. I don't think the fans are settling for anything but I just don't see how bitching constantly about coaches and program changes anything.

Wonder if this is the earliest in the big ten conference season without an undefeated team. After only 4 games there are no more undefeated teams.

Well UNC and Duke this year are going through some problems. How bad does UNC have to to lose to such a sorry program like IU . Those two plus UK has as many if not more kisses than we do this year. When I say they go through the same problems I am talking about in the games. Like people complaining about how we shot against a certain team but they don't look at the fact that every team they played hasn't shot well.

What the hell does that have to do with this discussion. I have said our fans have been part of the problem and I am referring to fans like you. At every turn you take a chance to bash the coaches and players and maybe players and coaches don't want to play for fans like you. I have been told the fans have nothing to do with it so how are fans settling for mediocrity effect the team. We have had 6 coaches and 5 AD's in the last 23 years so I think that shows that no one has settled for mediocrity.

Sure whatever you say but no one is justifying mediocrity. Some can look at things objectively and realize that all programs go through the same things. Some others just look at the team they supposedly are fans of and think we are the only team with those problems. I see people saying how we don't know how to face a zone just because some moron said so. Some just go with that theory because they want to have a reason to bash the coach. Like in 2016 where we lost to Syracuse people couldt believe how bad we did against their zone but they never look at that everyone that year struggled with their zone.

I think he is talking about your tournament resume and losses are viewed differently.

I don't see anyone who is happy with losing and injuries s are not excuses but are reasons for losses. Say Purdue was without Smith and Furst and Edey was playing at around 70% do you think Purdue wouldn't be worse . Also we injuries doesn't just effect games but it hurts at practice as well. With players out at practice you can't get your team chemistry on the court

Why do you need to try to dampen some enthusiasm in the program. We have no idea one way or the other if this class will be different than the past year's. It is the off season so let people have some joy if they like what they see. When the season starts and these players don't work out then there is plenty of time to tell people told you so.

Actually they play zone in the NBA, only difference is that the defensive player can't just stand in the lane.

Just shows you that there isn't much separation between the teams in the league. Also shows there are no elite or great teams in the conference
