Candidate Thread: Scott Drew (Baylor)

I think this is the number one option right now. Oats and Moser are my other contenders. -
Candidate Thread: Chris Beard (Texas Tech)

Is the 18-17 conference record over the last two years a better sample size? I like Beard's energy, but I don't see a successful offensive identity and the defense has dropped off. He is definitely better than Woodson/Fife/Alford, but I think there are other calls to make. -

Moser's teams look better to the eye than any of Archie's ever did. -

He killed a guy, though. That may hurt in recruiting. -
Were Matta's struggles in his last few years all health related? Is he going to be healthy to recruit in person full-time?

Enthusiasm, detail, simplicity. He at least belongs above Woodson. -

Bob Knight and Mike Krzyzewski were mid-major guys. -

Moser is the most Tom-Allen-esque, if that wins any points around here. -

He out-coached Musselman last tournament, among others. I think the only other offense that looks as disciplined as Loyola is Villanova. Baylor and Gonzaga are more explosive, but I think talent is a huge part of their success. The question mark is the lack of consistent dominance. However, 5-1 in the tournament with an offensive system that is beautiful should put him 45 spots ahead of Woodson. -
He and Jay Wright have the most disciplined teams.

Who started the Woodson rumor? Was it Woodson? I thought there was a list and that it wouldn't fall past a certain point on the list. This is on the floor below the table below the list. -
Woodson and Alford should be on the same "do not call" list.

Candidate Thread: Scott Drew (Baylor)

I just want people to be less pessimistic about Drew, from a numbers perspective, because Jay Wright took off in his 50s after he "figured things out." I believe that the last two years are showing signs of Drew "figuring things out." -

I didn't include this season because it isn't over yet. I am aware of his age. -

These are the records of those coaches when they were those ages. I am saying that Scott Drew, from when he was 39-49 years old, is similar to Jay Wright when he was that age. -

Is there any chance Brad is just saying what he is to deflect attention? Trying to trust in our insiders. -

We've been led to believe that the choice has already been made, so hearing that Brad is making a decision is quite extreme backtracking from a fan's perspective.
