To be fair, there were smoke screens galore the last couple hires. We were all convinced Kruger was the guy at one point. The Janitor was saying 4 years ago that it was Alford even though he was never considered. If Dolson is at least somewhat intelligent he's keeping things very close to the vest and putting out many smoke screens. We have no reason not to trust him at this point. So everyone should. Now if he actually does hire Woodson, Alford, Beilein, etc then all hell will break lose. Until then stay calm.

Bingo. If say it came down to Beard or Drew and you think both are toss ups on paper but one is an IU guy. Then you hire the IU guy. But under no other circumstance does that make sense. The IU guys aren't qualified.

The players will eventually turn on Brad if they haven't already. It's inevitable if you're not winning. When they do Brad is done no matter how much Danny or the owner like him.

People always say college is a downgrade to the NBA but I disagree. Of course almost all of the best basketball players in the world play in the NBA. But coaches? Tyrone Lue won an NBA title. Quinn Snyder was an epic failure as the Mizzou coach but is now considered one of the best coaches in the league. Guys like Woodson, Zeke, Smart, Whitman, Frank, etc probably couldn't even get an interview from IU. You don't think guys like Coach K, Pitino, Roy, Bennett, Beilein, Wright, etc would coach circles around most NBA head coaches?

That's the problem.

I just don't get why we fired Archie so quickly with that buyout if we didn't have a bird in the hand. Why not hang on to him a little longer to make sure you have a solid upgrade?

So we should treat a coach differently just based on the gender of players that they coach? Seems a little sexist to me.

There's no way it will be Beilein. Even Glass wasn't that dumb.

She wouldn't be able to recruit at all. If she has any chance of coaching men it will be in the NBA where players are signed and paid to play. She coaches and does no recruiting.
