Yeah look at Mike Davis, Tubby, Ollie, Bruce Weber, etc. All inherited a HOF coaches roster and did well initially but were disasters once they got their own guys. -

Checks all the boxes? Has never coached at the college level. Has never recruited before. Is old. Proven loser at the NBA level. What box does he check? That he's an NBA guy? That's worked wonders for Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, St John's, Memphis, Georgetown, etc. -

Of course. But Beilein and Matta are way to high of a risk. Beilein looks and sounds 10 years older than he is and he's 68. Plus he's never won quickly. It would take several years if ever at all. -
