It’s kind of hilarious watching a University preach about morality and ethics all while hiring a man for likely the most important job at the University who wasn’t remotely qualified for that job and was only hired because he was good buddies with the chair of the BOT all while stealing millions of dollars from Indiana taxpayers. Hilarious.

We are desperate. And Bob Knight couldn’t do at TT what Beard did. He’s that good.

He’s an amazing coach and knows how to treat the ladies. I don’t see a problem.

All we want is a proven winner who is under age 55. It shouldn’t be hard for IU with everything this job offers. But this administration is so inept.

And he also knows Brad is 99% not coming meaning he knows he’s almost certainly getting the offer. If he signs a new deal he’s clearly not interested. He’s not going to sign a deal increasing his buyout from $5M to $20M if there’s even a chance he’d take the IU job.

And that’s the only reason UM wants to renegotiate his deal. If he signs a new deal it’s 100% over.

Who Dusty?

UM will insist on a massive, massive buyout were he to leave for IU.

I understand why IU won’t hire him. Sure sounds like the hire will be another dice roll.

I get it. IU won’t hire him. But if it’s not Brad, Dusty, Drew, Pearl, Beard, or Wade I absolutely guarantee you we are doing another coaching search in 3-5 years.

So Pitino was vouching hard for Beard this morning? Apparently said he’d have us top 5 almost every year. It’s just such a perfect fit you know the Indiana administration will muck it up.

We should’ve hired him 4 years ago when we struck out on Brad.

He went to school to be a Forest Ranger I think.

That’s exactly what I was saying. No set practice schedule. He would have impromptu practices too.

And Crean of course knew their class schedule.

Why would I not believe it? Heard it from people close to the program. Crean was absolutely manic. Not a bad man but extremely unorthodox.

And I always heard he never had the players on a schedule. Like they get a text saying practice in a half hour don’t be late. Maybe @Chris007 can confirm that.

Crean was fired because he kept missing the tournament.

If we go the boring route definitely hire McCollum instead. He’s hungry and a lot younger. I want no part of Bennett.

He’s been told to keep quiet by the athletic department? That would imply they know his identity. I can’t imagine he would ever get any inside info again if true.

Who is that? Tijan Jobe, Bawa Munuri, Peter Jurkin, Guy Marchel, Daryl Pegram? We’ve had so many big man studs the past 25 years it’s hard to keep track.
