I’ve got Indiana in as a 12 seed (#47) and Maryland well out (#62). -
99.9% of “disruptors” are a very small fraction as intelligent as they think they are.

He certainly outcoached Akron’s Groce a couple nights ago.

IUBB @ Iowa - Thursday, 1/5/23 @ 9:00 on FS1

According to a teaser on Peegs, there has been some “encouraging chatter,” whatever that means. -
In all seriousness, thank you for putting this in writing and attempting to explain it. I still don’t get it and never will, why it makes some people feel so good to trash our athletic programs, players, coaches, and athletic directors on a public forum for everyone to see. To me it isn’t any less gross than the guy who sent the letter to TJD. You just don’t have to use a stamp and envelope here. But to each their own, I guess. And again, truly, thank you for explaining it.

Sure, because Indiana football fills the seats like Kentucky basketball, right? Indiana football has the NIL money of Kentucky basketball, right? In short, Kentucky basketball has a lot of positives to counteract the negativity of some of their fanbase. We, on the other hand, have tailgating instead of coming into games, leaving at halftime, and grown men (I assume) sucking their thumbs and carrying their blankies to message boards and crying when things don't go their way. Not real enticing to potential recruits. But thanks for the laughable comparison to Kentucky basketball, lol.

IU also needs a better fanbase. No recruit is going to look at an IU football message board filled with post after post of this junk and choose IU, especially with NIL now a main consideration.

Appears to have a broken finger. Appears to be middle finger of left hand. -
I've heard that Jones did visit.

Newsflash: Other fan bases have been laughing at our football program since long before any of us were born. You honestly thought that was something new?

Yep. Just another guy who bashed anybody who gets offended, and then proceeds to get offended. Hopefully the Door Dash gig is still going well for him.

At least half of Kentucky residents don’t know it’s a state.

They’ve spent next to nothing on buyouts. -
Missouri’s coach said something to the effect of his record will be better after Tennessee has to vacate its wins.

Apparently Missouri’s coach said something on the Jim Rome Show during the off-season that UT’s coach didn’t like.

Suhr is still the basketball analyst. They must have just forgotten to change it. -
Would we even want to keep Allen as DC? As bad as the offense is, the defensive rankings are even worse, with more talent on that side of the ball. No player development whatsoever.

It’s the world we live in. What was reported isn’t interesting enough so just make s**t up and pretend it’s true. -

If there’s evidence somewhere that they were in trouble, I guess I’d consider it. If not, I’d go with the press release. -

Both were sick. -
I’m sure the new TV contract will give us more money to spend. It will also give all the other Big 10 schools more money. So will it really help close the gap? I will get out of my question-asking mode just to state that the game day atmosphere is mostly on the fans, and very little on the administration. And yes, I understand that it’s difficult to expect fans to support a program that’s been so bad for so long. I find it difficult to support myself. But the administration isn’t responsible for fans staying out of the stadium to tailgate and leaving early. That’s on the fans.
-
So, according to what you are saying, they want to spend A LOT more money on basically facilities and coaches salaries. So my follow up question to that is where is this money going to come from? Are we not currently spending all of our athletic department income? If we are, and I’m sure we are, are the people who want a ton more spending willing to put some skin in the game so we have more money to spend?
-
I’m asking this of everyone who says this….what exactly do you want “the administration” to do? If it’s spend more money, how much money spent on what? If it’s more than just spending money, what specifically are you talking about?
