He won one with the Pistons as an assistant.

Anyone have a word on where Brunk will go next or who’s scouting him?

Rumor mill and insiders, but I saw that Woodson told Brunk he wouldn’t get a lot of playing time next year and doesn’t fit the new style. -

I would say I have a bad taste except for the fact that he was encouraged to leave. Can’t blame anyone in that case. -

It seems like Rosemond has built some incredible relationships over the years. I’m so excited to see who he brings in. -
After hearing Fife talk about Rob, I agree that he at least starts at the beginning of the year. It makes sense to have Lander be the first guard off the bench.

I’m pretty sure associate is a higher rank than assistant within the athletic department. -

Do Ivy Schools even accept grad transfers? -
Same! I’d love to see IU play out here.
-
TDJ, Race, and Duncomb feels like enough to play the 5, but it’s still a tough loss.
-
Seriously. If someone wants out of an NLI it’s not going to be an issue.

Mike Woodson to be next IUBB coach. Thad Matta to be associate AD

Archie, what the hell did you teach these guys!? -
I think Cockburn is still undecided, but it’s hard to tell how good Illinois will be next year.
-
Apparently Armaan was 99% gone if Archie came back
-
I would bet a lot of money that IU plays UVA in the B1G ACC challenge.

Someone fill me in on Cohen. I don’t know anything about him. -
Just to add to this: Everyone gets an extra year of eligibility. If seniors return for an extra year at their current school they don’t count in the scholarship numbers. However, a senior who transfers (Al at Providence) will count towards the scholarship numbers.
-
Plus Armaan showed that he can succeed in a similar style. He does well in the packline and managed to put up decent numbers in an offense that was atrocious. No reason to think he wouldn’t be successful at Virginia.

Losing Franklin would definitely sting but I don’t think it’s an insurmountable loss. The only one on this team who would really belong in this category is TJD.
-
That’s honestly what I was thinking too.

Jeff Goodman is similar to Woj to me. IU keeps their department very closed off to media access so the national media guys get pissy and have a vendetta against IU. Woj doesn’t have access to lebron so his articles are always Lebron hit pieces. It’s so transparent and honestly trash journalism. Just ignore him and he’ll go away. -
Even if we lost Armaan and Race, getting Brooks and Johnson would be huge.
-
I’m pretty sure if everyone comes back we’d have 2 open scholarships due to Brunk not counting.
-
I’m really struggling with who to root for. Baylor’s athletics department is really scummy and Scott Drew seems like the king of scummy. I’m not sure how much I care about the undefeated stuff. Gonzaga is fun to watch.
-
If Armaan transfers I think Locke would be an excellent replacement. He’s a little small for a combo guard but his stroke looks fantastic.
-
I’m not upset we didn’t get Swider. He’s a good shooter but his defense was horrible at Villanova.
