he's too busy winning hardware at IU to have a keyboard in front of him for more than 5 minutes :) Something I wish we could say for IU Basketball(IU Football already on their way to getting more and more hardware with Cig)
-
good thing we got a $5mill + NIL budget to spend. Should set up coach stevens very nicely :)
-
with CMW at the helm? phew, he may run out the door on his how instead of shaking hands post game due to all the boos that might reign down
-
but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Keep shooting away and come on home Brad! Actually, have Goode shoot the offer over to Brad. He's near the top in 3pt shooting % in the Big Ten this season.
-
I'll eat my words if he becomes the HC but you become numb to the same conversations over and over again. Like the boy that cries wolf
-
at some point you become numb to the Stevens to IU rumors. I suppose I've become numb to it BUT if I am wrong, I'll gladly not boo Stevens like CMW at the Hall, rather I will cheer and cheer LOUDER!
-
so still stevens i see lol
-
for Beard?
-
looks like more boos at the hall come Saturday IF he is still the HC come then..................................................................
-
so Brady Stevens gonna transfer to IU, play for his dad and IU returns to greatness by winning and winning titles over the next decade starting in the 2025-2026 year?
-
Tamar Bates..............

we received a silent commit that he was fired after the Bahamas trip. He elected to return on the team plane for whatever reason.
-
Is Brad Stevens the HC yet?
-
Boston will adapt just like the warriors did when rules similar were put into place during their run. Boston would be silly not to adapt and continue to compete at its highest level.
-
the NBA continuously adds next level layers/rules/etc and its ever changing. Yes, each year it gets harder and harder. Was it not deemed "difficult" at the time of rules implemented during the warriors run? Sure, it was. Just like now, this new set of rules are "more difficult" and more challenging. Adaptability is key and if you choose to ignore it, it'll cost you. I don't see a reason as to why one of the most coveted NBA teams in the history of basketball will say "lets stop short of trying to continue greatness for the next 4 or 5 years and do some sort of soft rebuild or not adapt on the fly under new ownership".
-
yeah, after Bob built and added key players to those teams that won 4 NBA championships during his tenure. Brad is 25% of the way there and with similar cap situations that his teams faced. Bob Myers was also there ALOT longer than Brad. Brad is only on what year 2 of being the GM? the trajectory of this team is deep playoff runs for the foreseeable futures unless major injuries get in the way
-
all of those points are valid - but during the warriors run with klay, steph, KD, Green and others, they made decisions on the fly and they did just fine with little cap flexibility at the highest available apron but kept pieces moving. i don't see why boston couldn't replicate it over the next 3 or 4 years. Now, of course a new owner throws a curveball so i suppose stevens could elect to take the safer route of the two now that he's won at the highest level of basketball in the NBA.
-
they are for sale sure, but are they not competing at the highest level? Did they not just win an NBA championship? Do they not have a damn good roster? Parden me for not paying attention to the NBA lol Yes, payrolls continue to rise, that is for every team. You have to spend money to make it to the top. That is the cost of putting together a championship caliber team in todays day and age. you have one offs that make it on a lower cap level but more times than not it's the teams spending the money find their way at the top at the end of the season. Someone will buy the celtics and their financial situation will be resolved. It is the freaking celtics lol
-
Fife was an IU guy, and he got showed the exit rather quickly by our dictator. lol
-
Brad Stevens may come here but not until he's 55. He is 48 and in about the best position one can be in for an NBA team with LOADED talent for the foreseeable future. GENERAL MANAGER of the CELTICS. He ain't coming here in the foreseeable future lol
-
Honestly the Stevens talk has become numb to me. May and Hoiberg I'd be fine with. Doubt May comes considering he just took over UM and is only in year 1.
-
everyone hanging their hat on Stevens assuming he is the big dog. Will it happen? Maybe, he is still young at 48. He may wait until hes 55 to take the IU job and we'll still be here 7 years from now saying Stevens is COMING!
-
and has IU made the "right" offer to Stevens?
-
fair but if his family wants to stay around bloomington, can't fault him for saying lets stay either
-
He sure as heck couldn't coach in the NBA lol
