  1. he also has IU at like 13.5 fav for this game too. He was in the same range for points for Bama and Oregon too.
  2. agree with your last statement 110%. It is unfortunate for the regular fan, extremely difficult to attend at the prices mentioned. If Ole Miss wins, we probably see sub $1k prices. If Miami wins, we stay above $1k for an entry.
  3. the ticket prices for the national championship are already priced as if Miami makes it. $3,000 per ticket right now. At the start of the CFP games, tickets were as low as $1,200
  4. Omar --> Chandler --> Sales...... Let's keep that Lawrence North WR --> Indiana University pipeline intact shall we.
  5. Elijah graduates and Nick Marsh is his replacement. Sign me up.
  6. with missing on Thompson, we are now able to add a few dollars to the pot for guys like Diane. Signs are pointing towards Karvala going with IU in the coming days. A class of Moody(guard), Karvala(small forward) and Diane(center) would be very good imo. Checks three positions off, can bring in other positions of need via transfer portal.
  7. between CAL, Xavier and IU, neither of the other two can compete with NIL funds vs IU. I would be shocked if he doesn't pick IU
  8. Hoosiers Connect on X tweeted something that caught my attention Friday evening: "Indiana Basketball, Legit, Hearing reports (us)". Now could be in reference to them smashing Marian OR it could be towards Thompson maybe?
  9. This kid can play - as someone mentioned above referring to Luka and Jokic playing in the same tournament, this tournament he was in is for the big dogs. This kid would do wonders for any team. I just hope those wonders are for IU. Go get em Adams and company!
  10. Wanting Dallas James in general is a hard no. Kid was not serious a majority of the time on the bench. what am I kidding all the time on the bench
  11. fair BUT starting out the first part of year pitching woes far outweighed our bats. scoring double digits and still losing
  12. with how atrocious our pitching has been this year, to make the big ten tourney call me shocked.
  13. nice seeing some names pop up on the recruiting trail now.
  14. if we strike out on bigs, and its a difference of a walk on vs a scholarship player in Leal, why would we say no? More revenue sharing for IU if we round out the end of the bench with scholarships
  15. I did not want Woodson back. BUT I didn't let it distract me from still cheering for IU. I attended every game with the exception of 2 which were missed for family events. Leal WONT be the X factor, anyone who believes that is fooling themselves. Rounding out the bench with scholarships nets more revenue sharing vs walk ons riding the bench. IF it means generating more revenue sharing opportunities for the university and having even further depth, you 100% bring him back and don't think twice. I don't believe he would play many minutes BUT would more than succeed at filling in if/when is name is called whenever coach need him
  16. but but but....................if those that are truly upset, I challenge them to not watch the season if they are this butt hurt over the potential of Leal coming back for one more season. When the season is a success and Leal moves on, I encourage them to continue not watching as maybe they're a bigger problem here
  17. this be like the jerry springer show geez - move this stuff to the right location.
  18. better question is does CDD do mass substitutions 4 minutes into the game?
  19. do i have some concerns about having one guy currently over 6'9"? Sure, BUT it is what it is. CMW tried the towers exercise and well that had its high and lows throughout the season. Same can be said the year before with MR and Ware. I am sure we'll have some headaches given our height issues this year and rebounding concerns. I think having guys that have a knack for rebounding at a higher % while being 6'8" is a good offset IF you have multiples of them. Let's get Harris(sounds promising), nab Leo and go into summer full speed
  20. Guards win games in March plain and simple
  21. right now in present time sure, but history would have IU as more the more decorated basketball program, not just operating in a silo from the past say 10-15 years
  22. Based on the profile of Alexis, he is very much unlikely to make it in the NBA. G-League player maybe but who knows. He got a national championship this past season, what most kids are chasing at a collegiate level next to trying to make it to the highest level in the NBA. Coming to IU, Alexis probably is making a little more money than had he of stayed at Florida, gets to play at a more decorated university and more basketball history than Florida AND brings that championship experience to a team that is in its first year of a rebuild and needs this experience. To me, sure Alexis may get some spot minutes BUT his experience at the highest level winning a championship is the move I see here. Maybe he was buried on the depth chart at Florida, if that is the case so be it BUT a few minutes off of the bench given his experience at the highest level, championship pedigree AND an above average % rebounder can't hurt in those spot minutes when we are shooting 25+ three pointers per game or even rebounding on the defensive end
