A familiar face. after watching the presser I agree 100%, he’s definitely entertaining this time around. I’ve watched/listened to a few clips today of Brad doing interviews and they’ve been a little different each time. The decision is wearing on him. Keep pushing SD! -

agree 100%. Unless you feel very confident you either have your guy or you have a very strong small pool of guys you don't make this move because you then are at risk for doing the same thing in four more years. -

Brad Stevens was on NBC Sports Boston a few moments ago via Twitter(@NBCSCeltics is their handle name) and said he's not quitting his current job to come to IU. Obviously he won't say that on air but he's shooting it down publicly which I would expect. -

Billingsley is top notch to interact with on HSN. I for one would be fine with any of those three you mentioned. Beilein I'd imagine they'd have a plan to bring someone to sit behind him and take over in 5 to 7 years given his age. -

As far as recruiting and transfers go, IU needs to make a decision within a week or two for the next coach. It will be crucial for any incoming coach to speak with the current players, next years commit(2021), the following years commit(2022) and any transfers that they may bring with them or that they may want. -

Beilein - You could win now with our current roster while getting an assistant to work beneath Beilein and take over in say 6 to 8 years health depending. Winning gets recruits and making the tourney helps as well. Fife could be one in the waiting perhaps? Beard - This would be the other route I'd go other than Beilein. Younger guy, could be that 20+ year coach. 16-17(1st year) he went 18-14 and missed the tourney, however, 17-18 went to Elite Eight, 18-19 went to the final game and last year would have made the tourney. This year they are a 6 seed. He's more than proven he can get to the tourney and succeed at Texas Tech(B12 is not an easy conference to play in with Texas/Baylor/Kansas/Etc). Stevens - Pipe dream yes but never say never. Look at Georgetown, they had a 0.5% chance to win their conference tourney this year and they did just that. Strevens knows hoosier hospitality above most on our wish list. My preference Stevens/Beard/Beilein in that order. -
Cheaney is on the Pacers currently, although I assume it'd be a little easier to break off a contract being an assistant as opposed to Stevens as the HC
-
Could be Friday if any candidate gets eliminated or Mack since they aren't in the tournament

Announce it just at the conclusion of PU losing in the tournament.

Indy Sports Partizan has a good track from what I've seen. Kent Sterling this morning shot the rumor down but who knows. I'd lean towards believing ISP before Kent Sterling but that's my opinion

One question - Who should I pay extra attention to on here when it comes to important news for recruiting? lol -

Trey made a post on his Instagram that said "It pains me to see that people will lie and use my name and likeness to try and devalue a project that has taken so many people so much time and effort to produce. The REAL #Committed video will be out at 6pm today, and while inconvenient for some, not a second sooner. Maybe it is PU maybe it isn't who knows at this point. -

to me if you have Wesley ahead of Kaufman for best 2021 in state player as he stated prior to this post on twitter you lose a lot of credibility. Wesley is not better than Kaufman. -

IU, Georgetown and Georgia according to bossi and other are top for Aminu. If we can get Aminu and TK watch out. -

Agree with statement above, we need Kaufman. If we wiff and miss, we need to look at a graduate transfer for next year. Al and Brunk can return next year with the extra year of eligibility, however, I am not sure going in with Brunk and Duncomb are ideal. Add Race to those three and it might not be as bad. -

Per Treys instagram story, it said "#Committed" and had a countdown till his announcement time, perhaps he has told which staff?
