  1. Feeling too much like Stanford's game last night.
  2. A lot of standing around and watching on offense.
  3. A bit of a slow start.
  4. As reported by ESPN taking it for what it is. Coach Teri Moren said after the game that Holmes was available in case of emergency and she's optimistic the senior will be able to play in Monday's second-round game, when the Hoosiers will be chasing their third-straight Sweet 16 appearance.
  5. Before Noon eastern - score 18-18, after Noon, 59-29. No more games starting before Noon, please.
  6. Did someone give our fans coffee? They finally woke up.
  7. My guess is that they expect to win this game. If it is close after this half you might just see Mack start the second half.
  8. That and a 11:30 am start. We have struggled before noon all year.
  9. A couple things I will be looking out for today. 1) Will Mack be in her sleeve knee brace or a larger brace? 2) Will CTM bring in Lexus in the 1st quarter for a minute or so to get her some exposure to the tournament?

    IUWBB - News and Notes

Not sure why that even matters, none of these teams that won championships are the same team except SC. Stanford has some but not all the parts from their 2021 team. Here is a list of the past winners. Of the 40 tournaments held, there have only been 15 different winners. Here is the list with number of titles. Connecticut 11 Tennessee 8 Stanford 3 Baylor 3 South Carolina 2 Notre Dame 2 Louisiana Tech 2 USC 2 Texas A&M 1 Maryland 1 Purdue 1 North Carolina 1 Texas Tech 1 Texas 1 Old Dominion 1

    IUWBB - News and Notes

B10 - 4 teams in top 12 in both polls (3 in top 7) PAC, Big East, SEC, ACC - 2 each.
  12. Tennessee Tech's tallest regular player is 6'. They have a couple 6'3" players but one has seen 50 minutes the entire season and the other has not played. Monmouth has more height than TT with a 6'3" and 6'"1 starters. Monmouth is 220 in net and best win is over a 123 net Drexel. TT is 169 net and best win is over a 76 Ball State. Neither team should be more than a great warm up for the OSU/Miami winner. I expect to see a good dose of our bench throughout the game.
  13. Well, it is ESPN that owns the SEC network.

Only Holmes mentioned in the IUWBB Media Guide as having such honor.

    IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

Some more items on the topic: Additional Considerations After adhering to all principles for placing teams in the bracket, the committee will take into consideration the following items: • If possible, avoid rematches of regular-season games in the First Four games and first- and second-rounds. • Any principle can be relaxed if two or more teams from the same conference are among the last four at-large seeded teams participating in the First Four games. • Avoiding rematches of previous years’ tournament games in the first- and second-rounds. • After examining the previous two years’ brackets, the committee shall attempt to avoid moving teams or conferences out of its natural region or geographic area an inordinate number of times

    IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

You made me look! Here is what it says from NCAA DI women's basketball principles and procedures for 2023. • Teams from the same conference shall not meet prior to the regional final if they played each other three or more times during the regular season and conference tournament. • The committee will attempt to keep conference teams from meeting until the regional final round. • If the committee is unable to balance the bracket after exhausting all possible options, it has the flexibility to permit two teams from the same conference to meet each other after the first round.

    IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

Yes, the committee will slide teams up or down a line to try to avoid match ups in the first two rounds.

    IUWBB AP/Coaches Poll

I could not find the post on Facebook that Mack's dad made after the game, but he stated that Mack was hurting, and he made a "Willis Reed" reference. The reference could be solely about playing for the team or could be a reference to the nature of the injury. I am staying optimistic and going with the first option and assuming all she needs is some "RICE" for a few days for any swelling to come down.

    IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

Dream ending #1 beating Iowa for the national championship. Dream ending #2 beating anyone for the national championship.

    IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

I am in ACC country as well and agree that the ACC, this year, is not what it was. Pretty much see the top teams (VT and ND, when healthy) at fifth or sixth in the Big.

I expect us and Iowa to be 1 seeds.

Even worse, we were up 24 late in the second.
