Yep. We need to take and make more 3s. Do wish we could've landed another guard in the portal, but we roll with who we've got right now. I think Mack in particular needs a few more games at college speed under his belt before we start seeing him do his thing, for real. A few flashes here and there today but clearly off. Can Gunn stay focused be a net positive on the floor? That would be huge... Gallo and XJ need to do more... but as you said, I think we can do a lot more than we are actually showing today.

We need to establish our offensive identity asap this season. Everyone on high level basketball teams will admit there is a sort of pecking order. With as many new players as we have, I won't be surprised if it takes well into the start of B10 play before that's sort of figured out. In the interim, I expect us to see a lot of ugly basketball and play down to the level of competition as we're seeing here today. Woody said he needs XJ to lead more in his availability the other day. I think I see what he is getting at with that. It's a long season and a clearly talented roster so I'm really not worried, but I do want us to come out in the second half and handle business like good teams do. One half of the first exhibition isn't enough for me to say what we will do come March. It is enough, though, for me to think I'm probably not going to have a great time at the UConn game lmao.

The first 4 minutes of this game, we had so many missed layups/shots around the rim, it legitimately looked like a 4th grade girls basketball game at times

I hope they come out hot in the second half. I don't think it's totally his style, but I wouldn't be surprised if Woody shows them some shades of RMK in this halftime speech, lol. What an eyesore this game has been.

Malik/Sparks/Walker are just about the only ones who look like actually came to play today so far. Cupps too I guess but not having his best day either... nobody is. Get this stuff out of the way in the exhibition games and lets tighten up fellas!

Troy and Devonte both make sense as comparisons for Gunn from what we've seen so far. If he can bottle up that energy and channel it (without too many unforced errors) he can be a real spark off the bench this year

Mack can't buy a bucket, as the announcer just said. The story arc of his time here, when it's all said and done, will certainly be interesting! They just tried to feed Ware for being so active and it didn't go down. But can't complain about his effort whatsoever. XJ just tried to do too much recognizing we need a bucket. 5-5. Gunn throws a bad pass that gets picked.
