The first 4 minutes of this game, we had so many missed layups/shots around the rim, it legitimately looked like a 4th grade girls basketball game at times

I hope they come out hot in the second half. I don't think it's totally his style, but I wouldn't be surprised if Woody shows them some shades of RMK in this halftime speech, lol. What an eyesore this game has been.

Malik/Sparks/Walker are just about the only ones who look like actually came to play today so far. Cupps too I guess but not having his best day either... nobody is. Get this stuff out of the way in the exhibition games and lets tighten up fellas!

Troy and Devonte both make sense as comparisons for Gunn from what we've seen so far. If he can bottle up that energy and channel it (without too many unforced errors) he can be a real spark off the bench this year

Mack can't buy a bucket, as the announcer just said. The story arc of his time here, when it's all said and done, will certainly be interesting! They just tried to feed Ware for being so active and it didn't go down. But can't complain about his effort whatsoever. XJ just tried to do too much recognizing we need a bucket. 5-5. Gunn throws a bad pass that gets picked.

So, recruiting news didn't go our way today. Let's not allow that to distract us from the important things in life... Like Hoosier Hysteria, and most importantly... what a bunch of other guys on the internet, who also happen to like IU basketball a little too much, refer to me as. I was trying to think of new ones on my own, but I'm not the most creative guy in the world. Then I recalled the whole ketchup conversation in the MM recruiting thread and figured at least one of you guys will have some juice I can squeeze... Best I could come up with after speaking to MaryJane was "SandlersSweatshirt" inspired by this clip but... not like I'm a huge Sandler fan. Bonus points for references to NJ/Sopranos that don't actually include NJ/Jersey, etc. (EX: Paulie Walnuts...?...) Ideally, not directly tied to any single player/coach (would like to be era agnostic... I'm in this thing for the long term. You guys are stuck with me). If there's enough semi decent ones, I'll start a poll for us to vote on (if mods allow). If not, hopefully this thread at least devolves into something entertaining for a few of us until we get the first exhibition game. And if nobody responds because they don't care to oblige my lunacy, so be it... at least I'll have Hoosier Hysteria highlights to watch soon enough. Okay, back to TheManCave I go.

Think I'm sucking it up and paying $10/mo to watch the exhibition games and Kennessaw State... so pumped to watch! My totally baseless prediction... we start slow, maybe even close at halftime (within 10 points). Then we start to pull away based on pure talent disparity. Come away with a lot to work on but hopefully also a lot of reason to be optimistic about our ceiling... We all know there are going to be chemistry kinks to iron out. Would love to see big performances from Ware and Mack in a game like this. IU 75 Indy 62

I'm really interested to see the lineups with Ware and Sparks on the court together. Lots of versatility Johnson/Gunn/Mgbako/Sparks/Ware Cupps/Gallo/Mgbako/Sparks/Ware Could be really interesting rotations.
