I went to camp there a couple of times around the same years. I got sick maybe the second day there? and came to camp a few minutes late and Wright screamed at me in front of everyone about being late. Unbeknownst to him I wasn't going to camp at all, but straight to the infirmary, where I was diagnosed with strep throat and got a huge shot in my butt. That shot was a miracle drug I swear. I was up and at 'em the next day. Needless to say, Wright was scary, and similar to Knight, would not do well with today's kids/parents.

Then they themselves probably didn't go to school at all since one can be an alumnus without graduating.

Who says Lewis and Cheaney are better recruiters or coaches? Because they were better players or bigger names? That sh*t fades fast. You need passionate grinders. Lewis just went to UCLA (big time program, LA). Calbert is coaching pros. Roberts seems like the perfect fit for CAM. But this is speculation until it happens.
