Yeah, I think most fans know this. Those pining for the motion might need the reality check. They seem out of it. -

I agree, but I also think we can do some damage in the B1G. We definitely need X. -

Mountain Dew seems to be a midwestern thing especially Indiana and Kentucky. I don't drink much soda these days, but when I do I prefer Coke (or C. Zero) and RC over Pepsi by a mile. I also prefer Squirt and Dr. Pepper over the other non cola sodas. Younger people definitely do not drink soda at all and when they do it's Sprite or Root Beer (stuff with no caffeine), although I never really understood that, the caffeine is the least concerning part of pop. But kinda like smoking back in the day, a lot of people did and didn't think much of it. Some people that's all they would (or still) drink. As a kid I would pound a lot of 16 oz returnable bottles. Nowadays if I do drink it, it's when I am hungover or at the movies w/popcorn. But I've always drank a lot of water and still do. Soda is purely empty calories.

Curious, as a result of your brother, are you a Pepsi guy?

Some dude online also said Cigs didn't like what he saw on tape of the older guys, admitting that tape during the Hiller years left much to be desired.

Not sure I really get some of these moves unless they really are just getting more $. Much like previous transfers, they either seem lateral or worse programs. But each to his own and good luck.

I would be upset, but I would not go on Twitter and mock a high schooler.

Seems like some JMU fans are not appreciative of this and that Cigs didn't publicly thank the school etc. To the point that some are actually making negative comments to recruits on social media.

There's still a lot of stuff going on. I think we'll start to see more commits and withdraws and probably more guys leaving. So the next few weeks will be interesting. My expectations are pretty low for next season to be honest. I love CCC's moxie, but he's basically cleaning house. So the low hanging fruit are the JMU players/recruits he thinks are Big Ten capable. But I finally believe we have a guy who really knows what he's doing organizationally. Not only has been the head guy at a couple of schools, he's also been the "new coach" in town. So I am optimistic he knows what has to take place the first days, weeks, and months taking over and the decisions that have to be made both easy (bringing coaches/players/recruits you trust or have a prior relationship with) and hard (letting coaches/players/recruits go that don't fit the shorter and longer term goals) and every thing in between. But this stuff is all very fluid. But it's nice to trust or at least believe that they have a guy who seems to know what he's doing.

Exactly. I am not sure what people's expectations are in regards to HS recruits for 2024. He's literally been the coach at IUFB for two weeks. I assume he knows the guys he's bringing from JMU are capable of playing at IU. One thing CCC doesn't seem to be is naive. Regardless, the main influx of new players for next year is probably coming from the portal. But just because he's bringing in some JMU players and recruits to help fill in holes doesn't mean he's only going to be recruiting SBC level talent in the future. Realistically he and his staff can only bring in players they have any sort of relationship with now.

Yeah, I was under the impression he was done too. But when he transferred the article said: "With the free year from Covid, and because he only played in three games this fall, Henderson should have three years of eligibility remaining." So we have to replace Lucas and Howland.

IU is basically losing their entire RB room, so they are going to have to get a few RBs.

He's been out as *** for a long time, even before he came to IU.
-
That stinks.
-
That was a weird situation that has never been explained, at least, not that I am aware of.
-
Yeah, he's definitely short. My guess 5'5" or so.
-
That wasn't the Sparks owner, but their HC and former IUWBB HC Curt Miller.

(2024) PF - Derik Queen to Maryland

I don't think it's clickbait. -
Compete baby! He has to know they are going to bring in another guy.

Personally I think this is a good approach. Speed gets you the big downfield plays that IU has lacked for a while. Get some TEs with receiver skills for the end zone plays. Don't get me wrong, would love to have McCulley back, but it looks as though that ship has sailed.
