    IUBB vs Central Arkansas - 12/19 @ 7:00

I hope you're right. I would really like to see them play. I know the minutes Moore has played are limited. I also know reserves often play a different type of game and often against different competition (although, I'm not sure how much of Moore's time has been against anything less than the remainder of the team...albeit, some of it has), but regardless of all that, Moore leads the team in Player Efficiency Rating (for what that's worth) at 33.7. Here is the current leader board, including Moore with starters and those with regular minutes. Moore 33.7 Morgan 29.8 Langford 21.2 Davis 18.5 Fitzner 17.2 Phinisee 13.1 Smith 11.1 Durham 10.4 Green 9.9 McRoberts 7.7
  2. No need for the apology. I figured as much. I've done it too. No worries.
  3. Wow, it really does seem he's playing on a very limited roster. It might raise his stats, but then again, it could be lowering them if teams are concentrating almost exclusively on him. I wish I could watch a game of theirs to see how he manages double or even triple teams...he seems very capable to create in a traffic jam.
  4. It was always nice to have a guy like Matt Roth who could come in for 3 or 4 minutes and score 12 points (from half court). We all know what his limitations were, but I was always confident that when he let it fly it would go through the net. If nothing else, put this kid in during the final seconds of a close game and make him control the ball...he seems dead-on with free-throw shooting...and maybe he can teach the others a thing or two about form and follow through from the line. Problem is, I don't believe he will want to own a Matt Roth role. So, hopefully his defense is better than we are hearing or he can improve immensely. I still haven't made a game, but with the holidays fast approaching I haven't had time. I will check him out live soon. MikeRoberts puts his "at worst" into perspective, but what if we look at an "at best" and the kid becomes a Tom Coverdale type of player...a hustling, hard-working, scoring machine who gets everyone involved? There is still time for him to improve any area of his game he needs to. The worst case scenario I keep envisioning is he ends up at Purdue with an improved all-round game and he devastates us twice a year.
  5. Thank you. I never once claimed Indiana should be in the top 10. I wouldn't put them anyplace close. However, there are at least a couple Big10 teams the coach's feel are better than Indiana that I can't help but question. That, though, never suggested Indiana should be in the top ten. I see the reason he thought I suggested that, but if he reads more closely I was saying they are not top ten worthy and that it's sometimes fun to watch a team progress and climb the rankings. However, I am still not saying they will climb to top ten this season. I would say it's pretty doubtful, but there's always a chance if they play up to their ranked, higher quality opponents and not play down to the lesser teams.
  6. That article in its entirety seemed heavily leaning towards Memphis, like many of his other interviews. He has been in Bloomington more than almost any other recruit, but Hardaway seems to be a major factor for him. It is nice to hear TJD is talking with him. I think he needs to get on "the horn" with Matthew Hurt as well. More than anything, I want TJD to spend Christmas with Brooks and wrap a bunch of Indiana gear to offer as gifts to the entire Brooks family.
  7. I was just referring to the shakes I've been experiencing since the Syracuse zone.
  8. So sad that we've been shaking our heads for half a decade.
  9. And a shout out to the late Eric Anderson is in order...number 8 in rebounds and number 11 in scoring. I left him off this short list by accident.
  10. I can't seem to find any statistics much past top ten in rebounds, but if Juwan's average this year continues then he'll be over 700 rebounds for his career before Big Ten Tournament as well. That would surely put him in the top 25 range in rebounds as well, with Brian Evans at number 10 with 750.
  11. Agreed. I thought the same thing when I began to look at it. If I remember now, though, they had mentioned they had several players on that roster reach the 1,000 point mark and several on pace to reach that mark.
  12. Yep, my theoretical post of him landing in top 25 was if he kept on pace of around 17ppg and didn't account for any BigTenTourney or NCAA tourney games. So, I would think they can at least expect 22 more games (20 more this season, 1 Big Ten tourney game, and 1 NCAA tourney game), which figuring a 17ppg average with those two additional games alone would put him only a few points from surpassing Jimmy Rayl at #23 and a few more on top of that to pass Kirk Haston. If they win only one game in either tournament and he keeps that average he'll be knocking on Robert Johnson's #21 slot.
  13. I saw you posted this elsewhere earlier. Thanks. I imagine he will only get better in assists and steals as he matures too.
  14. Imagine Don Schlundt with longer games (didn't they use to have shorter games), a three-point line, the addition of a shot clock, etc. That man must have been ridiculous for his time.
  15. Verdell was in the top ten in assists as well, but he fell out as Yogi climbed the charts. He should still be sitting at number eleven in assists. It was interesting to see some of the few players in the top ten or 15 in multiple categories. To name a couple...my numbers might be slightly off...and I couldn't find blocks and steals lists...but for instance, Chris Reynolds was 8th in steals and 12th in assists...and DJ White was top 15 rebs and number 3 in blocks. Don Schlundt - 3rd in pts and 7th in rebs AJ Guyton - 4th in scoring and 8th in assists Yogi Ferrell - 6th in pts and 1st in assists Alan Henderson - 7th in pts, 1st in rebs, and 4th in steals (surprisingly) Damon Bailey - 8th in pts and 6th in assists Kent Benson - 9th in pts and 3rd in rebs Christian Watford - 10th in pts and 9th in rebs Mike Woodson - 5th in pts and 5th in steals Tom Coverdale - 3rd in assists and 6th in steals
  16. According to the coach's poll Indiana is still only the 8th best team in the Big Ten. I've always liked watching underdog Indiana teams. It's fun to watch a team we all know deserves to be in the top ten, but it was always a bit more fun for me to watch a team with fewer expectations climb out from "overlooked" status and become a contender...thinking back to the 2002 season with Coverdale, Moye, Jeffries, Newton, Fife, etc.

  18. No. I'm from Decatur, but I haven't lived there in almost 25 years.
  19. I assume they planned to get the ball in Romeo’s hands, but I’m so glad Romeo’s hand didn’t touch the ball (on the game-winning assist) or this one would have gone extra minutes. It was close.
  20. We need at least 7 more pages before it’s even possible, according to what I’ve been hearing anyways. Regardless, serve up the crow someone promised to eat for us. Thank you.
  21. And thank goodness if you’re an Indiana fan. And thank goodness if you care about Romeo. Bloomington is the best place for him. He knew he could be counted on to be a major factor, and he knew he would be. He knew this was an opportunity to shine on a team in need, and he knew it was a chance to stay closer to home one more year. Then, there’s what happens in the future. He will continue to be a humble and wonderful character, or so most anyone would suspect. That bodes well for Indiana...the university and the state. And it all bodes well for Romeo...the state already adores him, he chose home, and he’s going to have a spectacular season. He begins what many expect to be the trend of going back to in-state talent and creating championship caliber teams. Whether he plays one year or more, he’ll make a mark on the legend that is the program and the legend that has been created by Romeo’s abilities and his father’s presence and insight. Romeo’s dad surely would admit this made the most sense for his future career. Now, do I think IU would be terrible without him? No, I doubt it. They wouldn’t win nearly as many games this year though. Someone would step up well, but no one is capable of filling his shoes and his role on this year’s roster. Do I think they would be terrible, though? Doubtful. Mediocre, maybe...but even that is doubtful. I think they would compete with some big teams...win a couple and lose others. However, their chances of post-season success (especially), is credit to the ADDITION of Romeo (to not SUBTRACT anything from other players proudly wearing Cream and Crimson by choice).
  22. Nice Find. Thank you. I love articles like this, and with a kid like Romeo it seems deserving.
  23. And I should elaborate by adding that this rumor specifically stated that deer hunting posts would not count towards this required page number. Has anyone else heard this rumor?
