(2021) PG Khristian Lander to Western Kentucky U.
KzooHoosier82 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Archie’s offensive sets sucked, that’s clear to most people. That said, it’s awfully rich to have Lander’s dad criticizing it publicly when you consider just how awful Lander performed. Bad offensive sets aren’t the cause of a player jacking up hopeless bricks and airballs, even while being poorly guarded. -
2022 General Recruiting Thread (Football)
KzooHoosier82 replied to Leo's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I always wondered how recruiting analysts were rating Jackson because he appeared not to have a pivotal role on CG’s team, sometimes with less than 10 PAs in a game and rarely ran the ball himself. I wish him the best of luck at UT. Nothing wrong with a kid who wants to get out of town and experience something new at college. -
(2022) PG Braden Smith to Purdue
KzooHoosier82 replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Could be playing the long game at PG here knowing it’ll take a couple years to develop him. I haven’t seen him play yet but from how he’s been described, all I keep coming back to is Bobby Hurley and if he’s anything like him, I’d love to have him. -
(2022) DB Dasan McCullough to INDIANA
KzooHoosier82 replied to lucel15's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
It’s the same as basketball, 25-30. I’ve long thought the top 100 (if not 250) in football should be 5 star. -
(2022) DB Dasan McCullough to INDIANA
KzooHoosier82 replied to lucel15's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
He played all over the defense for his former HS and also had a growth spurt not too long ago. I think he’ll have his pick of positions but I expect him to play LB or DE. If he stays quick and doesn’t bulk up, the Husky position fits him nicely also. -
(2022) DB Dasan McCullough to INDIANA

Cooper Spells, Mullen & Monds are the three I’d add to that list although I don’t think Strickland wants to stay in state. I’m hoping landing Dasan opens up the flood gates of this class. It could be special! -

It’s weird to think back on how disappointed I was when Mike Hart left to go back to Michigan. Never in a million years did I think we could get DM back in this role...that was an upgrade in of itself. To get his kids on campus also is just an amazing turn of events. Hopefully we can hold onto him for the foreseeable future as I’m sure he has HC aspirations. -
IUFB Offseason Updates
KzooHoosier82 replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Ideally, yes but it doesn’t always turn out that way (see Stevie Scott). Desan doesn’t have the body for RB but if he has the hands he’d be perfect for TE. I believe he runs a 4.74 40 already. I don’t know what Daeh’s and Deland Jr’s speed and agility are rated at but Daeh is already a pretty big kid for a CB. He may end up as big as Desan by the time he graduates HS. -

I find it interesting that all his kids play on defense. You’d think there’d be at least one RB, WR or TE in the group. -

I expected him to be a substantial contributor this coming year. Very surprised by this. -
Brooks Sr did an interview and flat out said the plan was to test the NBA waters (good luck with that, bro) and “go from there, but if he’s coming back to college it will be at Kentucky”. He aint comin here and that’s perfectly fine with me

Pastner would be a bold choice given his own off the court issues. I have to imagine that administration will look to someone with a clean record and no ties to cheating/scandals. No one knows what kinda job this will be once the NCAA is done with them

Xavier Johnson - Commits to IU (PG)
KzooHoosier82 replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Indeed. I’m excited to see what he can bring and cautiously optimistic Woodson and Fife can reign in his turnovers, which is really the only knock on this kid. Defends well, 50% from the field, can penetrate and dish and makes his free throws. -
The same Iowa team we swept? Virginia was mediocre this year in a very down year for the ACC so yea, in the beginning on the season they played W Virginia and played well...that was 5 months ago...did you have a point or just being a contrarian? Is that you case that they played an adequate schedule to prepare themselves for this game?
-
When your best tests all season + tournament are overrated Creighton and USC, how can you be prepared? Their journey to this game was a joke and it shows

I fairness, he shoved Mitchell out of bounds to regain a loose ball and they swallowed the whistle so it should have been worse.

He’ll always have a spot as the video coordinator and full time golf cart driver for recruiting visits -

I have to imagine this comes with “heir apparent” strings unless he was downgraded at MSU. He was long thought to be next in line to replace Izzo. Must have got tired of waiting. Either way, great hire. I’d love to know more about his recruiting record but I expect him to be a very solid X’s & O’s guy as a former PG and high level QB in high school. -
No one said Woodson has any interest in Brooks and you’re right, Brooks isn’t in the portal. The debate was between fans responding to a rumor and after 4 years of the blind nonsense that was “Trust in CAM” even that sentiment seems a bit misguided. After all, this is a message board and it’s sole purpose is discussion and debate. Lecturing people for doing just that? Really?

Had this conversation with my wife. Like, what do these guys see that we don’t? In slow motion it was a foul, goaltend or both but all they could say is how great a block it was.

Ya. So you agree with me. My point was Baylor can easily get 90 on Gonzaga, but Gonzaga isn’t getting 90 on Baylor
-
If Gonzaga plays like this against Baylor it won’t even be close. UCLA played well but you’re not putting up 90+ on Baylor
-
Go Baylor
-
Juzang is killing me here (Context: If UCLA wins, I win my bracket). Jump stop, pump fake and dish to a wide open Tyger there

Wasted waaaaay too much time bringing the ball up. Wasted opportunity
