Agreed but for the fan who think IU is dream job, it’s not. Everyone thought Archie was a homerun based on one good tourney run and success in a subpar conference. We’ll see what he can do next year with mostly his players but I think he needs to look the mirror this offseason and make some adjustments to his schemes.

Green is just the scapegoat for posters who don’t have the balls to blame Morgan, Smith and Rob for having terrible games and Archie for not being able to coach this team out of a paper bag. Archie may build a winning team but his inability to adapt his system to the players he has and to the teams he faces is inexcusable. IU deserved a better hire but sadly it isn’t the draw it used to be and it probably never will be.

He's really slow for his position. I'm not sure I've ever heard of a 4-5 star DB running a 4.86 forty. His vertical also needs work. Hopefully that's something he can improve by working with our S&C staff because you can't make plays when you're getting beat down the field. He also needs to gain 30-40 lbs. Hopefully he comes in, works his butt off and shows the big boys who were recruiting him that they made a mistake in passing on him.

I'm not shocked by it being ranked only 27 on rivals and 38 on ESPN. I'm sure the depth at his position played a role. Sucks for him as I'm sure he was hoping to be apart of it. The biggest shocker to me is putting Samuell Williamson in over Brooks. There had to be payoff somewhere for that to happen.

He strikes me as a Nick Zeisloft kinda kid. Will probably end up at a Valpo, ISU or PUFW and could potentially transfer to a bigten school if he can show he can perform at a high level against D1 talent. He'll be a nice late addition to some team...kinda hoping it's not Purdue.

Yea, you take him. If he were on our team this year he'd be an unsung hero. At Detroit Mercy he's leaned on to be the star. Here he would be a compliment to Morgan and Romeo. Kid shot 10-15 from beyond the arc a couple weeks ago against Wright State and ended up with 48. He's already being compared to Trea Young and is being regarded as one of the top freshmen in the country. His game is sick...not just a spot up shooter but can create his own shot, he's quick, great handles, 86% from the FT line and can still finish around the rim despite his size. I’d like to see him be offered a preferred walk on spot with the intent to earn a scholarship if he earns it. We do have 5 open spots so there’s no guarantee Allen will be able to fill all of them. I’m sure there’s plenty of spots on special teams he could help out with too.

You’re giving way too much creedence to people who claim to be insiders and connected to the program. There’s a reason it all came from HSN and nowhere else. I wasn’t posting much on here back then but I remember all I read here and elsewhere were references to HSN “insiders”. It was a snowball that started from a rumor that never was a thing, even to the point where claims Donovan was in Btown hit even though he was on video in OKC. Hate to burst your bubble but all communication was through Donovan’s agent and there never was real interest. Discussions with Bennett went much further and he was barely talked about due to the focus on the Donovan rumors. I know a lot of people want to think there are insiders posting on these sites but that’s simply not the case or they would be found out in no time and no longer be given info.

When is the last time we ran a play with screens simply to get an open look? This isn’t offense. This is NBA iso post, dribble drive without NBA talent. If this is all Archie can draw up he’s not worth the charmin double soft he wipes his @$$ with.

Sampson will get more carries that Scott if he stays healthy. He’s the total package with way more speed and much better hands. I expect to see a thunder and lightning approach next season by committee. That said, don’t sleep on Ronnie Walker. That kid has tons of talent but just didn’t have the size and strength to take over the full time duties as a true frosh. As a somemore and putting in time with the S&C coach I expect him to challenge Sampson for carries. Scott has a high floor but a low ceiling but can be a huge success as a short yardage back. Sampson and Walker have the talent to be the next the next Tevin Coleman.

All three were on Morgan. His defense is terrible. It always has been.

Bennett turned us down. That’s how we arrived at Archie in the first place. This isn’t a better job than UVA anymore. How’s Marshall doing this season without top talent? He’s not the answer and would be a nightmare for the administration to deal with.

Playing time is earned in practice, weight room and in film sessions. It’s not gifted because a kid needs it.
