Also, I have zero confidence that OSU isn’t sweeping postive test results under the rug for key players. How do they have an outbreak that massive yet affect so few of their key starters last week? Playing them again will most definitely lead to IU players getting hurt and/or contracting covid thus potentially screwing up our bowl game. We have very little to gain playing them again and everything to lose. IU doesn’t owe OSU anything and if they have to bow out so be it. They’ll still get their playoff bid. No one on that committee has the balls to vote them out for Florida or Texas A&M who will both probably lose one before the season ends

I doubt the Purdue game gets canceled. They’re just baking in excuses. The OSU rematch would be nice if Penix were healthy but I’m not confident Tuttle has the timing down enough to handle their smoke. There’s a huge difference between managing Wisconsin’s defense than OSU’s

As the son, brother, nephew and cousin of many Purdue grads, this game means something different. Outside a Rose Bowl/Playoff game, this is the game for me. Throw out the records because you know this is all Purdue has left to play for. I want to see everything clicking early and leave no doubt. No more double OT wins. I want to embarrass the boilers back to the obscurity of the Hazell days. I’ve had to listen about our “corney HS coach who will never amount to anything” and “the God” that is Brohm who was hired the “the Prophet” that is Bobenski for four years now. Time to claim the state of Indiana for now and into the future.

This is a very young team that will continue to get better as kids grow and the recruiting adds depth. This is just the beginning

Agreed but I wouldn’t count on it. I see very conservative play calls for Saturday. If it were up to me I’d let him loose. We’re playing with house money against Wisky and I wanna see what he can do for the bucket game.

I’m starting to wonder if Hunter is simply not “a gamer”. Plays really well in practice but pyscs himself out when it comes time to play a game. I don’t know how else to explain all the positive talk he gets from teammates and staff, never to actually show it come gametime. I recommend a sports psychologist to see if they can help him out. It’s gotta be a mental block.

It’s an incredibly small sample size but he doesn’t look like he has the ball handling skills in traffic to perform well at this. If he’s all on his own, sure. But he caused a very costly turnover today being loose with the ball in transition.

Lander went from a Five Star recruit to a kid who’s 2-12 in his first three games...No one on this team can finish consistently around the rim. No one can hit open shots nor create their own shot. It’s not just recruiting athleticism over talent. It’s poor coaching and game planning. When I see guys like Geronimo, Hunter and Galloway thinking it’s ok for them to lead breaks instead of finding a ball handler...that’s coaching. That’s not understanding how to put guys in a position to succeed. I didn’t like the Archie hire then, I don’t like it now. We don’t have any out of bounds plays. We don’t have anything that resembles a competent offense scheme. It’s basically live and die by transition offense.

He’s done very well and I think will continue to improve on the offensive end. We’ll definitely need it because it appears Lander isn’t the instant impact, potential one and done, people thought he would most definitely be. That said, I do think Lander can have a Cassius Winston type impact at IU

Always happy to see single digit turnovers. That is so crucial to success. The defense was playing at a high level for most of the game. The only negative was bench shooting. We will need to rely on them to score throughout the season.

Love the effort and energy so far. Plenty of little things to clean up but that was to be expected. Race is playing at a level I didn’t know possible. I thought being down Brunk would hurt us in this matchup with all their 6’8 guys but its been a non issue. Let’s close this one out strong!

Terrible first half but love the fight in these guys. Hell of a way to finish and show the rest of the country that we’re a top 10 team. Gotta learn from this and play our best ball the rest of the way.
