It’s easy to finish around the rim when IU’s guards don’t rebound and give up wide open layups...not that our layups were contested

You can’t run the ball when your QBs can’t throw the ball

I feel bad for TJD. He joined a roster full of guards who simply can’t distribute the ball and play at a high level. I wonder how good he’d be with a team around him and a coach who can dial up an offense

I’d just love to see a game where more than two guys show up ready to play.

Absolute insane take if you think NW’s recruit classes and overall talent levels are on par with IUs and I guarantee you Archie himself would agree, they aren’t. Two of their last four classes ranked dead last in the conference and they’re never better than the middle. I don’t know what your attributing to Archie for the end of the game success (Al’s free throws going in? Hunter’s broken play despiration 3?) but a vastly less talented team (who already beat us on our own floor) almost beat us again if not for their foul trouble in the first half especially and missing a ton of open shots. As for Archie “drawling up out of bounds plays out of time outs”...that’s the responsibility of his assistants. He doesn’t even weigh in on them.

I couldn’t disagree more. They had foul trouble which hampered them throughout the game and their best shooters went cold. Archie’s coaching didn’t cause them to miss wide open shots. We won this game due to a very random uptick in free throw percentage coupled with a prayer 3pt make by Hunter. Collins didn’t coach NW any different than their win in Bloomington, it was simply an off shooting night for them. What did Archie do to take away anything they wanted to do? What did he do to promote our offensive sets? I must be missing something here

Collins can coach Archie into the fetal position covered in tears. What he can’t do is recruit at a level high enough to continuously complete in the BigTen. Would that change if he came to Bloomington? I really don’t know but he took thee cellar dweller program of the conference and made them competitive even with budget bin recruits. You give this team to a Chris Collins or Matt Painter and it would be top 10 in the country and it wouldn’t have the gaps in shooting and 7 footers we currently “enjoy”. Point is, it’s not right to call a guy a dud when he can’t serve you caviar and fillet because he works at McDonald’s

Kenpom and his BS system can go pound sand. I’m sure we would have dropped 10 spots with a 1pt loss.

There’s a couple I wouldn’t mind moving on but there’s no reason to name names or even blame them for that matter. It’s Archie’s job to put a winning team on the floor with recruiting and player development. It’s not like we’re wasting talent on the bench right now.

Twice in a row the ref gives the ball to NW with a bullsh*t toss. How is that allowed to happen?

Dammit. Oh well. Hopefully he can have an instant impact on Sampson & Baldwin. Im also very happy Lloyd is back for leadership and depth

    IUFB Offseason Updates

Maybe...just maybe, this hire convinces Stevie Scott to come back for his senior year. A year with DM, another year with Wellman (I think) could propel him from a fringe draft pick to a middle round lock. Having two former NFL guys on staff is really big for getting our guys infront of NFL GMs going forward

Lol. Yup. From his highlight reel it looks like he lines up all over the field. His little brother Daeh is a 6-1 / 175lb CB in the 2023 class that 247 already has listed as the 3rd best CB and 54th in the country.

    IUFB Offseason Updates

If Dasan isn’t exactly what CTA had in mind when he developed his Husky position, I don’t know what was. After watching his highlight tape, he’s like the player you create in EA Sports NCAA Football. Tall, fast, athletic, good hands, hits hard and has excellent field awareness. He can play virtually anywhere on defense, WR, TE and I’d be shocked if his dad didn’t teach him some solid RB moves over the years. I’m excited to see this play out
