Yikes. Yeah, Minny is gonna struggle next year. You almost have to feel for little Pitino a bit. Guy’s seat has been hot for about five years. It’s hard enough to convince talent to come play for a non-brand-name program up there in ice-cold Minnesota winters. He’s had guys leave early on him consistently it seems. Tough to establish any momentum for the program when that happens. Despite his relation to a total sleeze bag, by all accounts and watching his interviews Richard actually seems like a pretty decent guy.

Early BIG Projections (2020-21)
JerryYeagley23 replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If Livers stays in the draft Michigan is gonna take a step back next year. And yes, I know they have a great glass coming in. But losing those three guys who played a big part on the team this year will have an impact with fewer veterans with experience in Coach Howard’s system to get those frosh integrated and rolling. -
Has Okuro (sp?) announced he’s leaving Minny yet?

Two words: exponential growth. This is a trend-line graphic. What you should be looking at is the trajectory, and slope of the line. Our trend-line is still vertical, which means it doesn’t matter what the number is compare to Italy or Spain or China; what matters is that our doubling rate is not curving, it is vertical. Representing exponential growth. Which means, it doesn’t matter how many cases currently we have compared to our total population. That velocity means it’s still moving with no end in sight. This isn’t a NYC thing. They were the first epicenter. Chicago, New Orleans, Detroit, etc. are next if this growth rate doesn’t slow. And if it stays vertical growing exponentially, our gross numbers and per capita numbers will ALL dwarf those of other countries whose curves and doubling rates are flattening. Brass Cannon, keep fighting the good fight. I don’t have the time or energy to chime in as often as I’d like. Keep spreading facts and providing perspective. -
IU Baseball

That’s awesome! Love the momentum the program has built and seems primed to maintain. Are any of the players on that list uncommitted and targets of ours? -

Do we have any commitments on that list? -
(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

He was never leaning Purdue. Not at any point. -
Finally some good news this offseason for the football team. Seems like most of the movement on the squad and staff has been outgoing. Hopefully the offense can get things sorted for next year, because it seems like our defense may finally be ready to compete at a high level.

IU Men's Soccer 2020 Recruiting Class

This kid is a really good player who came out of the Philadelphia Union’s MLS academy. I had a chance to see him play last year when Pitt upset Virginia, and he likes to get forward down the flanks for a back. He’s gonna be great in Todd’s system getting forward and getting crosses into the box or springing guys into the final third with his passing. Great get. We don’t rebuild, we reload. -

Ahhh, sorry BC, that’s my bad (and kind of MSNBC’s) - I forgot that Sunday is already over for them. I just read like you mentioned that deaths on Sunday in Italy were 651, which would be down from the 793 reported for Saturday. -

Are you sure on this? I’m watching MSNBC right now and they said Italy’s numbers were the worst day for any country so far during the pandemic. Reportedly had 793 deaths on Saturday. -

The World Economic Forum has been updating statistics and information and has the trend graph which now shows the US on a pretty scary trend line closer to Italy than South Korea. -
I think the story here that stands out to me is the ability of Holtmann to execute a contingency plan effectively. If Gaffney leaves, that’s losing two Top 60 guys in the same class, but he goes out and gets the top grad transfer available and they remain a Top 15 team nationally for next year. That’s something that IU has not been able to do historically with much success, is leverage the transfer market. Transfers happen in today’s game. It’s how you react to them that keeps your program humming.

When would Carton be eligible, second semester? Unless he gets granted a waiver or the whole system changes to allow one-time transfers. -
(2021) PG Khristian Lander to Western Kentucky U.

To me, no. But apparently it mattered to Khristian and his family since his dad was quoted as saying “it was a relief” the game had been canceled. -

So he WOULD have been eligible for selection and to play in the McD’s AA game this year? I was under the impression that wasn’t the case. -
Yea or Nay: give seniors another year of eligibility?
JerryYeagley23 replied to RaceToTheTop's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Would be pretty nice to get Brenna Wise back for another year to add with our transfer becoming eligible for the women’s team though wouldn’t it? Although, UCONN has five seniors I wouldn’t want to have to potentially encounter in their fifth year combined with the four McD’s All-American freshman coming to Storrs in the Fall. That would be a gluttony of riches. -

@Uspshoosier do you have any knowledge of whether the selection committee is continuing to meet, or if the talk that they may still proceed with revealing the brackets on Sunday has any legs at all?
