Great first half. We controlled possession and kept them from getting anything going in their attack, which is their strength. Sarver looking dangerous. Maher dominating on the back line. Another 45 mins. and we’re on to the college cup boys. LFG.

This game is the equivalent of when team USA played the neighborhood kids in Mighty Ducks 2 and got introduced to the knuckle puck. Put a top 10 team in a high school gym full of New Jersey’s finest 1500 fans against a team pulled off Rucker court. That first half is what you get. (all due respect to the knuckle puck)

Pitt is playing as well as anyone right now. Beating UK was no fluke. Gotta take care of business first but that would be a good matchup in the college cup.

Beauty of this game so far and how well we’ve played, is without Grace we’re getting a preview of our team next year when she graduates - and they’re still really good.

Wow. So that was fun!

Bottom line right now is that we can beat any of the teams remaining in the tournament. If I’m re-seeding it today, I’d probably have us number two behind Duke. But any team we play we can beat. There have been some big upsets by seed, but any team we play will have that extra bit of anxiety that comes when Indiana is on the jersey. It means something especially in these late rounds. That being said, UNCG isn’t going to play scared having just won away at a Stanford team that three-peated a few years ago. And playing at home will be an advantage for them because it’s a smaller stadium and their fans have never experienced a game this big so they’ll be hyping it and come out I’m sure. They have a couple big, strong attacking players that like to go 1v1 so we’ll have to play as a unit and limit their chances in space. Mentioned previously, they have a really big (6’4”) backup keeper who is VERY good in a penalty shootout, having saved two against Ohio State and the first three taken against Stanford. So we don’t want to play cautious and hope to advance that way. I like IU to win this one 2-1 if we can control possession and keep our lines high. Need to get more out of Endeley and continue to leverage the left side through Sarver to push the ball through the midfield and advance the attack. Get this one and I like our chances to get to the final and have a go at number nine.

UNCG it is. Path to number 9 is there.

Gotta be rooting for UNC-Greensborough now. Don’t like potentially having to travel out to Palo Alto to play Stanford who is a tough matchup for us. Both teams score goals, but UNCG is more one dimensional.

Good first half. Hoosiers playing good possession buildup and a high press which has caused some Marshall turnovers we made dangerous. Marshall playing a low block and just looking to counterattack. Their European makeup is showing a lot, with guys taking dives and complaining to the refs over nothing. Don’t want to let them hang around and get a cheap goal because we’re the better side. Hopefully Todd will give some instructions at halftime to start suite the left side to advance possession, because that Sarver/Wittenbrink side of the field we way outclass them. Gotta finish.
