Two incredible moments in a tourney that needed them, both ruined by Doris Burke on the call in my opinion. Just why?

While I don’t totally disagree, I was at the games and Friday when we were on a “neutral” court against Utah, there were probably 1500 people there. Casual fans from the region don’t go to women’s games and not enough programs travel. We have great support and probably had 7-800 people in the stadium Friday.

We needed to step on them when we were up 7 in the first half and missed some bunnies. Coming back to haunt us now. Some home cooking referees don’t help. That girl wasn’t moving on that call against Syd? Pleaseee.

That’ll do. Gotta hang with them before you can upset ‘em. Syd missed a layup. Yarden only two points. Let’s get hot from three and keep playing D keep em outta the lane and we have a punchers chance. Not bad for a 22 point dog.

That was fun! Gave Dolson a fist bump, he said “next season two teams winning tourney games.” Ha. Bout time.

Pregame = all business. Just watched Yarden make 11 corner threes in a row. We look ready. Teri gave me a wink. Think that means we’re locked in.

This should go without saying obviously, but there will be no press conference tomorrow. I’ll be able to take the lid off a bit later in the week. But will say this, anybody providing details right now either doesn’t know anything or doesn’t know what’s good for them. Dolson has given very strict orders. Regional media has zero intel on this. Won’t stop them from fishing for clicks. Nothing tomorrow though. Not sure where that started. Carry on.

Give Moren a USC roster one time. Just once. We would get a natty. Crazy how much more length and talent they had and we looked like the better team much of the game.

Doesn’t look like we will get this done, but gotta say I always enjoy watching this team play. They always play hard. Seems like they are always overachieving their talent. The give you hope every game, no matter the opponent. They are what I’ve been wanting for the men’s team for a decade now. Proud of them. And look out to the 1 or 2 seed that draws us in their region for March Madness.

The past five or six years it seems like this IU ladies program is always one player away from being great. We have a great player like Berger or Holmes or Garzon come into being great but we lose the player we need to graduation and don’t replace them. If we had Holmes this year we would be a top five team.

Why Bargesser on JuJu when Chloe has been so good on her?

Yarden needed to lean into JuJu and draw that foul shooting the three once she got her to leave her feet.

We’ll look back at this game and the play that hurt us was when they got three offensive rebounds and it resulted in Syd picking up her fourth and then going up 5.

Proud of the fight. They’re getting physical and we just keep coming back at them.

Gotta keep playing tough. This is a great example of why IU will be the most dreaded 8/9 seed in the tourney for a 1-seed. We can play with anyone. Even when the refs are giving stat treatment at times.

We’ve got a puncher’s chance. And that’s without our deep game being on point. That Garzon three. Ha. I’ve heard of make-up calls, but that was like a make-up 3!

Not a good lineup to start the quarter.

Striplin missed a couple bunnies at the rim. Switching Bargesser to guarding JuJu seemed questionable. Chloe was doing well on her. Three ball isn’t there yet. Down five. Good news is, no foul trouble. Got to keep it close heading into the half. We’ve had trouble in 2nd quarters this year.

They have a TON of length. We can’t get sucked into the high pressure and take long twos in the lane that get blocked or tipped. I like our movement and back cutting to get easy buckets. The threes will come. Good start.

Need a hot start. Get the crowd into it. Stay out of foul trouble. We are NOT the 9-seed USC was hoping to see, especially in Indy. Let’s go ladies!

All season I’ve wanted Ciezki to be Sara Scalia so bad. She just hasn’t gotten there. Today she looks much more like what I had hoped for. Have a day girl.

Great start! Phenomenal defense being played against a team with a lot of length. The help downs have been huge. Keep it up!
