Actually, an NIL agent told Cassidy that it was IU for Haralson so he logged his pick. The agent then messaged back and said wait, I have to check on something and then ghosted Cassidy. I’m guessing Haralsons camp was upset it got out and made the agent tell Cassidy to “wait.”

Nikita is more physical but Hatton seems to have a better feel for the game and can shoot. Nikita seems like a project and looks like he just throws the ball at the rim and doesn’t have great instincts within the game. Hattons dad is a big UK fan so it would be comics to see him go to IU.

It sounds like Hemenway to IU is essentially a lock at this point. My assumption is we see a visit and commit next week. Last spot will go to a backup 4/5.

I hope you’re right. Tubelis was WAY better than Malik ever will be and could create and drive from the top of the key. If Malik tries to make any moves/drives from the top of the key, it’s almost always a turnover. I want to be wrong so bad. I really do, just having a hard time grasping having the same philosophy that didn’t do squat last year and made my eyes bleed.

I question whether some of those at Assembly Call understand basketball, especially after comments like this. Tubelis was way more versatile than Malik AND an All-American. Malik has nowhere near the same game or level of play of Tubelis. They were pumping out so much confidence last season about being contenders while those of us who understand the game, questioned Woodys scheme and potential spacing issues on offense, which came to fruition. Rice and Carlyle can create BUT Ballo and Malik will be clogging up the driving lanes. Woody NEEDS shooters if he’s going to play this style.

So it sounds like there’s a real possibility of IU ending up with Rice, Payne, and Hickman instead of Rice, Ballo, and Carlyle all bc of logistics with visits. That would be a real gut punch honestly.

If Woody is going to play 1990s style basketball then might as well get the best players for that system. I don’t agree with it and don’t think you can win meaningful titles with it but Woody has shown us he’s not going to change. I think if he accumulated all this talent and can’t get to the tournament and win a game or two, then it’s meaningless to keep him around.

I agree with USPS. Kolek and Stevens are at the top. Probably give the slight edge to Stevens. That kid is special and can put that team on hi back and make a run tourney time.
