Most "experts" say this is a win for the Cubs. Not sure about that. They almost HAVE to make the playoffs next season. Otherwise, it's giving up two serviceable major leaguers and a good prospect for a one-year rental. I suppose they'll try to lock Tucker down, but why wouldn't he want to test free agency?

Interesting shuffle at Indiana schools. Ball State fires head coach. Ball State hires Butler head coach. Butler hires Ball State assistant to be HC. And who was that BSU assistant? Kevin Lynch -- son of former IU head coach Bill Lynch. Bill Lynch was the Mike Davis of IU football: the interim who was a decent, good, nice man -- but not the head coach of a major college program.

No doubt about it.
