He realized the error of his ways when he bought a Brazilian soccer jersey, thought it was pretty cool and realized how hypocritical it would be for him to wear it while lounging outside and paying the lawn service.

Nope. I'm knot to good of a speeler. Butt I was on a role earlier. -
Ty Jerome says he's skipping his senior season at U.Va. and hiring an agent. I'd say it's about 98 percent certain he won't be back. Maybe 99 percent.

They are brothers, but I don't believe they're twins. This guy -- a Wisconsin writer -- seems to think Michigan State or Virginia is their next stop. I'm guessing both would have to sit out a year. If MSU is the choice, that's definitely true -- I don't think they have any scholarships remaining.

"He can compliment star Antoine Davis who is the son of Mike Davis and also led the team with 26.1 points per game this season." I can see it now ... "Hey Antoine, nice jumper." "Antoine, I'm diggin' that jacket." "Antoine -- 26.1 points a game? That's amazing." "Hi, Antoine. Love the dreads." (Sorry, I'm a bit of a grammar nerd). -
Charleston Southern grad transfer Christian Keeling has the Toiletmakers and the University of No Classes in his final five ...

Jim Nance just said Tiger's win at Augusta today was a greater moment than Jack's in 1986. ... True, or is he caught up in said moment? I'm a little old-school and graduated from high school in 1986 and was on the golf team (yikes -- am I really that old!), but I'm sticking with Jack! Still golf moment No. 1 for me.

I finished it this week and echo woodenshoeman's endorsement: exceptional book. I work an odd schedule, so have Mondays and Tuesday off. After starting it and getting into it, I couldn't wait to pick it up again and read a few chapters. This past Tuesday, I did a few chores around the house, then picked up this book again. I became so engrossed that I finished the final 200-plus pages that day -- couldn't put it down. This is written in somewhat of the same vein as "In Cold Blood" -- almost like a non-fiction novel. Sullivan couldn't quite accurately piece together all the details to author a non-fiction book, so he made it a novel. ... Quite a story.

Plus -- although I've never been there, I would think Reno would be a pretty cool place to live. Seems like a cool city and you're within an hour of Lake Tahoe.

Southern Miss job is open ... I'm guessing he wouldn't want to go to Mississippi, but to me, this would be a good test for someone like Fife. He's probably not ready for a place like Cincy, and although C-USA usually only gets one NCAA bid, it's a decent mid-major league.

When I was a senior at IU, Damon was a freshman. He had a stretch in which he played pretty bad -- although since he was just a freshman, how can you tell? ... Anyway, there was a rumor that his head was all messed up because his longtime girlfriend who followed him to IU from Bedford or Heltonville caught him in bed with a Colts cheerleader and went ballistic on him. ... Too bad we didn't have Twitter back then!!! -

One of the emojis is of someone CRYING. In the photo, the fellas are at a GAME. The other emoji suggests something secretive. ... Some of the guys got together and watched "The Crying Game," didn't want anybody to know about it and Justin is ratting them out. ... Seems fairly obvious to me. -

Nothing like opening the game by walking the opposing team's first three batters. -

Is this one of those mid-week we-don't-play-PU-so-we're-gonna-add-them-to-the-schedule game, or is it a real conference game? -
I still wonder if Alford ends up anywhere this offseason. Would he take a mid-major job, or would he hold out for a Power 5 gig? Would a Power 5 school want him? He reportedly was "in the mix" at Arkansas, but I'm not sure how much I believe that ... He seemed to be a pretty good fit at New Mexico, then bolted for the bright lights and big city of L.A. And I've read that ever since he left, UNM has been a dumpster fire. Sometimes, the best move is to not make a move. ... Would Nevada be a fit? I would think Reno might not be a bad place to live (though I've never been there) ... I guess we'll just have to wait and see ...

Since the postseason player/coach chats have been wrapped up, we haven't heard a thing about the possibility of more transfers. I was under the impression that we might hear something last weekend, but nothing ... There have been dozens of players around the country announce they have entered the transfer portal. On our end, it's been Jake and Clifton. Is that it? Or is more to come? ... Just curious ... -
Shouldn't this say "we're sorta thrilled" -- after the very public dalliances with Cal, Dixon, Barnes, etc.? ... Will be interesting to see the spin on that.

Indiana university alternative timeline
LamarCheeks replied to southernindianahoosier2's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
How about this alternate timeline. 1. We don't fire Kathi Bennett as women's basketball coach and when we want to hire her brother in 2008, he says yes. -
C'mon ... There were missed/blown calls on both sides. Matt Mooney was trapped in the lane for at least four seconds on an OT possession on which TT scored. ... You can find just as many missed calls tonight that went TT's way.

BTW, "One Shining Moment" was first played after the 1987 tourney!

So the first No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 comes back the very next year to win a natty. ... I think we'll see a team go from losing in the NIT quarterfinals to Wichita State this year all the way to an NCAA title next year. Or not!

Nothing worse than a hypicrite!

I really thought we should've played them this year. ... They would've killed us, but I thought with Kyle Guy playing for U.Va., that would've been a natural matchup. ... No reason to pair us against Duke again, IMO.
