Said this earlier -- I didn't think an announcement would come today. If something happens, tomorrow would be more appropriate. It's the day before a game, when a coach would normally hold a presser -- plus I don't think Dolson wants to overshadow the women's game. And there's the aspect of a Friday news dump! I say this admitting full well I know nothing about nothing. Just a gut feeling -- and with the size of my gut these days, I typically listen. Trust the process ...

Just a thought ... If there is any announcement forthcoming, wouldn't tomorrow be a better day? The IU women have a home game tonight and while IU-Rutgers women doesn't move the needle for a lot of people -- I would think Dolson wouldn't want to steal their thunder. Yes, I realize that the Woodson retirement/departure talk permeates all IU athletics at this point -- but I still think Dolson, etc., would want to leave today's stage to the women. I've been wrong many a time, so I could be about this as well. Just a rando thought that struck me, however.

Had to chuckle when I saw people tossing names around on an IU basketball FB page. One guy said: "Just let Dolson do his job." I have no doubt Dolson will do his very best. I also have no doubt that Dolson doesn't give a rat's a$$ what anybody on a free fan page thinks. I also think speculating about our next coach is just kinda ... fun. In a sense, that's what fan pages are all about. Lighten up, folks, and enjoy the ride. We'll have a new coach in place by next season, and he can't be any worse that Woody. What fun is a coaching search if we can't throw around our unsolicited advice! I remember watching this site eight or so years ago on a Saturday afternoon when page after page after page had Billy Donovan taking the job and Mrs. Billy Donovan house searching in Bloomington. Now, that was fun!
