Could be that Tucker gave CDD something to think about as well. ... I have no knowledge of anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if CDD told the others (Rice, Carlyle, Reneau, Bako) it would be in their best interests to hit the portal. Again, I know nothing ... but the fact that Tucker hasn't gone portaling yet leads me to believe there's perhaps a smidge of mutual interest in him staying.

Only two scholarship players from this past season are left (not counting Goode): Kanaan Carlyle Bryson Tucker Wonder when the shoe's gonna drop on those two? You have to think Carlyle is gone. I might be in the minority, but I'd kinda like to see Tucker give it another go. I wanna see what he can do with a coach who values perimeter players.

I thought that was strange as well. My understanding was that these college "GMs" were to help the HC deal with the portal, NIL and roster construction. Not to fire him.

Are these really "significant losses?" Maybe when you consider we're already losing Striplin, Chloe and Sydney ... Still, I thought all regressed this past season after showing promise to varying degrees previously. Not sure whether that's on them -- or CTM. Probably a bit of both.

There was a 99.9% chance we'd face the Gamecocks in the next round -- and that came to fruition. They edged Tennessee Tech by 60 on Friday afternoon. They went unbeaten to win it all last season, but guess who gave them their toughest test? Yep -- your Indiana Hoooooooooosiers (as Chuck Crabb used to say). They beat us 79-75 in the Sweet 16. They may very well win another natty this year, but won't go undefeated: They have three losses this season and in two of them, got pounded pretty good. They lost at UCLA by 15 in November and by 29 last month to UConn (that was at home). Their other loss was a four-point setback to Texas. They beat the 'Horns pretty handily in two other matchups, however, including the SEC Tourney title game. Odds are huge against us, but let's let it all hang out and give it all we got. From some of the things I've read here, Woody was very dismissive of women's basketball. Hoping to see DeVries be more supportive of CTM and her program. Always nice to coaches from different programs be in synch. I recall Teri almost seemed heartbroken when Crean was fired, as he was very welcoming to her and very supportive of her. He even went to a big game at SSAH after he was terminated (maybe the WNIT championship?). Just makes sense and creates a better atmosphere if the two basketball programs can move in lockstep with each other.

Killer third quarter. We're pretty much even with them in the other 30 minutes.
