Always a great day when the Indiana Bulldogs defeat the Gonzaga Hoosiers! As much as I enjoy IU women's hoops, I had no intention of subscribing to FloHoops for two games -- so was following along on the stats when I could. Was kinda confusing at first.

What do you do when you finish your first unbeaten regular season with a 53-point thrashing of the Toiletmakers? When you complete a two-season run outscoring your little brothers 122-3? When you witness a complete a$$-whippin' despite your Heisman-contending QB not playing particularly well? When you adjust and run the ball down the PU's friggin' throats? Watching our Hoosiers crush the Toiletmakers for a second straight year to finish 12-0: Free, because it was on NBC Seeing Ross-Ade empty by the third quarter and the little PU fans hanging their heads: Priceless B-town banners being down during the entire game: ^#(@$%O^)*!

We are either winning. Or we're losing. Or we changed our logo to a Bulldog -- and nobody told me. Either way -- these stats are kind of a cluster fudge.

Mississippi State and the Lane Kiffins are rumblin'!

There's a rumor out there that Fox wanted to move the Michigan-O$U football game to 3:30 p.m. so it wouldn't have to compete against IU-BCU hoops. (Of course, I created that rumor ...)

Ben McCollum vs. Chris Beard on CBS Sports Network. Pretty good game. Iowa 54, Ole Miss 50 with 8 1/2 minutes left.

It's part making dumb fouls and part stripes getting a little whistle happy.

Tayton got fouled, but he didn't go up very strong with that. Shoulda been an and one.

We're up 12 with absolutely nothing from the guy who's supposed to be our best player. Not terrible.

Damn -- Sisley and Bailey just stood there and let him get the rebound. Bucket ain't gonna count, though.

I can see why Bailey lost that rebound. It went right into his hands.

Reminds me of that doc on the Miami-Notre Dame football rivalry. In practice, Tony Rice throws a perfect pass to his receiver. And he drops it. Lou Holtz goes right past the receiver and gets in Rice's face: "You should know better than to throw him the ball. He can't catch."

Nice little stretch there.
