Wow -- two really lame foul calls at the end of Xavier-UConn.

This is funny. Doug Gottleib talking pregame about how Green Bay shouldn't be scheduling "Nobody U' -- aka Michigan Tech -- because a 20-point win over a D-II team doesn't move the needle for his program. Then he goes out and loses. Never liked the guy. Always thought he was a complete tool. https://x.com/CBBcontent/status/1869458131102888362

He's now QB1 in Atlanta ... -
Looks like Vick to Norfolk State is happening. Should be interesting to say the least ... https://www.pilotonline.com/2024/12/17/michael-vick-has-been-hired-as-norfolk-states-coach-sources-say/

Going pro? Transferring? I'm assuming it's the former -- but it's not exactly clear. -
The when-it-rains-it-pours tweet ... Crazy thought -- but any chance that just refers to the death of Richard Van Arsdale? That, just when you thought it couldn't get any worse -- an IU legend passes?

IUWBB vs Bellarmine - Sunday, 12.15.24 @ 2:00 on B1G+

I felt like we were working our way back -- even after the ugly losses to Harvard and Butler -- but the beatdown to UNC canceled that out. Hopefully, we can win these next two and see where the chips fall when UCLA (currently No. 1) visits. -
Yep -- just saw that. We'll see just how committed he is to "giving back to the community" -- which apparently, was a big reason he had interest in NSU.
-
Yes. I'm from the area (well, I'm actually from NW Indiana, but have lived here for 20-plus years) -- that's why I found this so interesting. Norfolk State is an HBCU that put together a decent run a few years back -- won their conference and made the FCS playoffs. Even have a pretty nice little stadium -- seats 30,000 or so, but nobody ever goes. NSU football on its own doesn't move the needle. Hasn't for years. But Michael Vick coaching them -- that would.

The next Deion ...??? https://www.pilotonline.com/2024/12/16/michael-vick-in-talks-to-become-norfolk-state-head-coach/

Oh, Skip -- no matter how hard you try, nobody takes you seriously anymore. I get that you're trying to get attention with your hot takes, but sometimes it's OK to stick with the mainstream. I could write a thesis on why Cigs is the obvious choice six days a week and twice on Sundays, but here's a simple factoid for ya: Nebraska 28, Colorado 10 IU 56, Nebraska 7

LaMendola remains in first 5. No real surprise. (Poetic, ain't I?) -

Syd dressed and warming up. Seth Tow reports after taking a few shots, though, she sat on the bench with assistants while others continued to warm up. Listed as questionable. We've got almost two full weeks before our next B1G game, so no rush -- but it might not be a bad idea to get her a couple minutes here and there if she's able to go. -

They made 30 3s and shot 63? And took 90 shots overall? Dayum -- their arms are gonna be tired tomorrow! -
The next B1G basketball national champ will be ... One of these two ... Probably won't be long before they're in the conference.

Toiletmakers lose in Indy. Gee, what a shame ...
-
Good God -- TKR just blasted through an A&M defender. Did get the offensive foul.
-
A&M guard bumps knees with Cox and goes down. PU fans boo. Classy.
-
Braden Smith barking at the A&M bench. He dived for a loose ball and took out an A&M player. Not sure how that wasn't a foul on him.
-
A&M by a dozen -- 62-50 with 4:30 to go.
-
A&M kid and Fletcher Loyer both came down with a rebound. A&M kid ripped the ball free, sending Loyer flying like a rag doll. I chuckled.
