I would say I can’t believe it...but this is IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

On a scale of 1-10, how connected is Bozich to the insiders? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Treesh, I know it’s not B-town, but you better have taken off for that airport in Indy, or so help me... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I’m definitely choosing to believe the former because it’s what I want to happen lol. But the two things I keep coming back to: 1. How “quiet” it got after and 2. Did anyone ever answer if it would have to be reported that Boston gave him a raise? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Yeah, I’m not saying I agree with that philosophy, but I also don’t think he’s the only one in NBA circles who believes it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

This is how I see it. As a completely biased IU fan, a “mutual agreement to part ways” makes sense in a season like this for them. Wasn’t it Bird who thinks no coach should last more than just a few years in the NBA? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Oh I’m totally ready to go off the rails again. It’s way more fun than all the pessimism. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
I’m as ready to freak out as anyone, but we should probably realize that had Archie been retained, we’d likely be looking at a lot of turnover, no matter what. This one time transfer rule will entice a ton of players. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Chris, I have to ask...do you think Dolson has totally moved on from Stevens, or is he gonna make another push? Sure seems like he probably got a firm no. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yes. You should save us all a lot of time and just do this for every day haha. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I mean, stress definitely doesn’t help back problems, but I guess that’s true of most health issues. It could be that one surgery did irreparable damage to a nerve, but otherwise other surgery pretty much fixed his problem. I’ve seen that a lot too. Have also been thinking if drop foot was one of his issues, that could explain people thinking he “needed help to his seat.” My opinion? His issues have most likely been blown way out of proportion. Not saying that they shouldn’t be vetted, but still... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

For anyone curious, that ankle brace was an AFO, which is worn for drop foot. In other words, the nerves in his back have been so damaged, he requires a brace to keep his foot from dragging. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

At the risk of sounding dramatic, does anyone else feel like the wind has totally been taken out of their sails? Like I’d normally be ecstatic to get someone like, say Beard. But now since apparently missing on Stevens, I’m reverting to my old bitter Hoosier fan ways. Feels like no great coach would want to come here. And even if we made a “good” hire, feels like he’d just find some way to underachieve, like Archie. Feels like Stevens was the only one that could fully mobilize and unify all of us again. Just my 2 cents. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Is this the same Goodman that said they wouldn’t fire Archie this year? It is? Oh okay... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

This. Been thinking this all day. Can’t wait for the PU fans and pUKe fans to all be like, “he’s never won anything, failed at Boston, blah blah blah...” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

A lot safer bet this time to say Brad is staying lol. All about getting that cred. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Agreed. I’ll be honest, I watched less this year than ever before. Like maybe parts of 1/4 of all games. If he’s back, I’ll watch even less next year. I feel like that’s a common theme with every IU fan I know. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Chris, I think you had mentioned that the Stevens camp was at least listening this time? Not getting my hopes up, but that at least is more encouraging than last time. Have you heard anything else on that front? Thanks for the info you share! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I’m so impressed with Illinois right now. A little salt in the wound to think about Underwood being hired same time as Archie and I think he’s got a team that will be my pick to win it all. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I shouldn’t even be entertaining these thought, but can you imagine with the transfer rule, the kind of team Stevens could put on the floor next year? Or any high-profile coach, for that matter. It’s a perfect time to speed up the process of being competitive. Get the right guy, and you awaken a fan base that is largely asleep and growing apathetic, or keep the same coach, and lose even more on the program next year. It really doesn’t seem like a tough call. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
