Also very positive...no sling. AND no ice pack even. I’m way more optimistic than when it happened. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I meant to add that culture is a good start and has to be the foundation. I choose to believe that Archie can build wins (and meaningful ones) on his culture. Granted, we are way below the level we need to be at now. A saying about how Rome was built comes to mind... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I agree here and is part of the reason I chose not to watch. I get too worked up about it. I’m choosing to still believe it’s the process of building a “culture,” as the article discussed above. Watching the score from the Purdue game, it lead me down a rabbit hole...Painter (and maybe I’m just bitter here) is a good basketball coach. However, I’ve thought for some time that he might actually be worse case scenario. Think for a minute: As one unpopular AD once stated, I don’t think we should have to shy away from expectations at IU. Painter has a winning percentage of like 67. Yet, what has he won in 13 years? 2 BIG titles and has gone to 4 sweet 16s. I’m not ready to accept mediocrity. I respect the culture that he has built and am willing to give CAM more time to build it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Definitely seems like a ruptured patellar tendon. Hate it for Vic. Have seen so many people say even if you aren’t an IU or Pacers fan, he’s one of the easiest guys to pull for in the NBA. I’m sure he’ll be back and even better. Side note and not near as important: as an IUBB, Pacers, and Colts fan, I feel like my heart is regularly just torn out and stomped on lately. Anyone else? I’m with you. Every team has rough spots, but this team is showing no heart, no pride. I can’t stomach that. I’m done investing my time until something changes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Why is Collins smart enough to get the hot shooter open, but we can’t get a top 5 player in the class open? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Exactly what I meant earlier. What’s that they say about doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I will just add...this game is exactly why you can’t lose to Nebraska at home. Just too tough to beat even decent teams on the road in this conference. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

We are not good enough to go 1/7 from FT line and still win against any Big Ten team on the road. Verge of being blown out now because they’re finding range from 3 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Okay, I’ve been hesitant to jump on the “where’s the coaching?” bandwagon, but it’s the same areas that are killing us every game. Lack of awareness, inability to hit free throws, our two best players picking up quick fouls...this stuff just kills us. At least the effort is improved compared to Nebraska. But I’ll be honest, there have been several games where all I could say is that the effort was good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Complete garbage no call on what should have been an easy goaltend call on C Edwards. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Watching Purdont and Rutgers. This is for sure sour grapes, but why does every team have multiple outside shooters except us? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I know you can’t tell how bad a concussion is just by looking, but to some extent you can...I missed the game, did it look bad when Rob got hit? Did he get up and seem to walk off okay? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

This thread is almost as brutal as our offense. I’m a pessimist too guys, but yeesh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Things to improve for sure, but I’m okay with where we are. Could have been worse than 5 down. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Have we had a player be such a big spark coming off the bench since him? Sheehey might be the only one that comes to mind. Every time Moye came in, felt like we’d make a run. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Agree with this. At this point, I’m not sure any other big guy on the team isn’t worth trying. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
No judgment here, Old Fart. I had a similar experience, though in my early teens. Felt nauseous with very simple movements for awhile. In high school, my best friend took a charge and hit his head so hard that he went rigid and started seizing. Scary stuff. Anyway, he was recovering for weeks. Docs ended up telling him he shouldn’t play anymore and that if he had another concussion (he had had 3 or 4) that there was a 50/50 chance of permanent damage or even death. Yeah, as hard as I’ve been on Smith, maybe it’s just a bad sophomore slump. Hoping he comes around. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Are they just a bad matchup with the Jags or what? Seems like every year they’re a thorn in our side whether it’s Bortles or Kessler or some random guy off the street. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
