They count. But it's not fair to Archie to expect us to be dynamite right away. This isn't a Mike Davis, Bruce Weber, Tubby Smith, or Kevin Ollie situation where he inherited an elite roster his first season. Patience will be rewarded. Archie is the real deal.

I said we shouldve hired Gregg Marshall not Billy Donovan. I'm sold on Archie though. He's going to win big here. We're just going to have to wait until year 3 or 4.

That I agree with 100%. We're going to win a lot of games with Archie. Missing on Donovan was a blessing in disguise.

I'm not saying Romeo is going to Vandy but if they get Garland they'll have as much chance as anyone. And given that Romeo is reported to have Vandy in his top 3 doesn't that mean he thinks Garland is going there as well? I guarantee you they wouldn't even be under consideration without Garland.

They've essentially got 2 of them in the bag already. Nashville is almost as close to New Albany as Bloomington. Drew is a good coach as well. Also, as I've said before Garland is alpha of these 2. If they're a package deal it will likely be him calling the shots. Much like the Oden/Conley recruitment.

There's a decent chance he ends up there especially if they land Garland and Sittu which is looking likely. That's why it's critical that we have a good year if we miss on Garland.

I think we do too but he's waiting until spring and I'm just not convinced this season will be very good. We have a brutal schedule and a lot of holes on offense. That's what worries me. If I knew we were going to make the tourney I'd like our chances.

Sure hope you're right. If any fan base is due for a big break after these past 20 years it is ours.

No one said Garland was a done deal as far as i know. Several have said it looks very good, I'd be surprised if he doesn't come here, etc. Donovan was said to be a done deal. Hoosier0708 said that Romeo was a done deal after HH and i hope he's right.

And I'm not negative about Archie Miller at all. I've said before that I wouldn't trade him for another coach in the world outside of Stevens and that won't change even if we whiff on both Garland and Romeo. We're in for some great basketball ahead. I'm just tired of hearing such and such is going to happen, "done deal", etc from our supposed insiders and then it never ever happening. I won't be duped anymore.

I really think Vandy is going to hit a Trifecta. Hopefully Archie can pull off something similar in 2019. He'll have to if we miss on Romeo.
