It's Vandy folks. Sorry but it is. Romeo likely following unless we have a big year. Again sorry. I wish it was different. -

I had high hopes for him. He was a borderline top 50 recruit. -

Chili sounds great. I don't think my liver can handle another beer for a while after Friday night's debacle. -

That sucks. He's such a good kid. I know I'm being Captain Obvious but we really need his leadership. -

And RJ was down to IU and UNC I believe. VA wasn't being considered. -

It should've been obvious where he was going when he decided to announce at BA. -

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Marshall was my first choice as I generally believe he is the best Xs and Os guy in the nation. He would have us regularly competing for B1G championships and deep tourney runs even if he didnt land many 5 stars. He's just that good and was the safe choice IMO. I do believe Archie has a higher ceiling but his floor is certainly lower as well. -

That's kind of my point. He'll only flip to Vandy if he's certain. -

Keep an eye on Jerry Meyer and watch if he still picks IU. He is well known for flipping his pick at the last minute. If he still has IU tomorrow we have a chance. If he flips we'll know we're toast. -
Prediction League (Game 2 - Howard 11/12/17)

That's not true at all. I have a very positive outlook on most things in life. As far as IU basketball, I was only a few years old the 87 championship and was very young during the Calbert Cheaney years. I don't really remember any of that. I started really following IU basketball strongly about 20 years ago and it has mostly been a trainwreck. The 2002 tourney run was amazing but really a curse in disguise as it ultimately led to 4 more of Mike Davis and then Kelvin Sampson, etc. Without it we probably fire Davis a year later, hire Thad Matta, and have a few more FFs on our resume along with maybe banner 6. I was a student at IU for 7 years and they were the last 3 years of Davis, the Sampson era, and the first 2 years of Crean. Not exactly the best era of IU basketball. Some of you older guys remember the Bob Knight glory years but I do not. So if I'm somewhat negative from time to time that hopefully explains it. I have said many times that Indiana is the sleeping giant of the college basketball world and has only lacked a good coach for about 20 years. I think we finally have the right guy in Archie and am very optimistic about our future. -

Yeah he kept saying to look out West for Crean's replacement. Thankfully Glass wasn't that stupid. I was really worried for a while. -

If you're the type of person that gets your feelings hurt easily by any sort of negative news you can always head over to Hoosier Sports Nation. I post there frequently and it's the ultimate sunshine pumper board. I'd bet that probably half the guys there thought Crean deserved another extension even after the Georgia Tech debacle. I'm not kidding. -
