I know for 100% certainty Beileine would like to Coach again. I also know if approached by Indiana(Possible he already has been?), he would have a high level of interest. Does Indiana share that same interest? I don't know. Is the money there? I don't know. JB thinks he has 5-10 years left in the tank. Two heart surgeries is a bit concerning, but, he is ready to go, wherever that might be.

Shocker........ -
Didn't I read were Matta needs help getting to and from his seat for Butler Hoops? That doesn't signal a person who has the health to be a head coach IMO? I'm old enough to remember when we would all be arguing about what seed we would be getting for the NCAA Tourney...the good ol days. Been 1,803 days since IU last played in an NCAA Tourney game...but whose counting

I'm going to step out on a sturdy limb and say Beilein will be the next IU Coach. We all know that isn't a long term solution, but, I think 4-8 years with John at the helm with the understanding succession will be sooner and not later and allow the program along with Beilein's help to plan for that isn't a bad thing..at all. I think this would excite the base and give us one of the best X's and O'x guys around...guy can flat out Coach and minus his stint in Cleveland all he has ever had is success. This is a low risk move for the Trustee's to approve. Success everywhere, stand up guy and his past players love him.

Why didn't his parents name him Richard? Just go all in FFS. Assuming the season ends as most of us think it will, no NCAA Tourney, 2 more regular season L's, most likely a win and then done in Big10 Tourney, I think the risk to Dolson NOT making a change now is the team comes out next year and has a season like the first four under Miller. I'm fortunate enough to be friends with a few guys whose Fathers have their name on a few Buildings down at IU. The reason I say this and it was reiterated to me today that money isn't an issue, 10 Million doesn't make or break anything down at IU with Athletics. Is it a lot of money, yes, is it happening at a bad time because of revenues being off due to COVID, absolutely. The amount we are talking is an investment into the foundation of Indiana Athletics. IU Basketball is a big catalyst for a lot of donation support the University recives and I bet that foundation is already cracking. Delaying a move only to have to sit through another crappy season with Basketball and using Archie's contract as a reason I think will put Dolson in some pretty intense crosshairs. Dolson has inherited a hot seat and he certainly has a "legacy" type decision he needs to make. Time will tell and I fall in the camp of how can you not make a change?

lol.....before we run him out? Should we give him 7 years? 9 Years? maybe 10 years. You stick this performance into any other Major program in the Country and a change would have already happened. Kind of leads me to believe the administration has moved on to be excited by participation awards trophy's

I think his second year when IU had a 10 game losing streak, Archie lost me. Told me everything I needed to know about our "Coach" ...I do wish Archie all the best, I just want t at least get our program back to being a mid pack Big Ten team(oh how far this program has fallen). Somthing we haven't seen with Archie...just embarrassing.

we ae in no danger of ever having to pay him those Bonus's

Probably is a blessing in disguise no fans allowed. People thought the boo'ing of Crean was bad.......this would be 5x worse

I think at this point, a change will bring the fans back closer...this is bad

What Does IU Need to Do to Get in the NCAAs?
finky replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think the talk about Money is funny. IU is sitting on $2.4 Billion in Endowment. I know a portion is restricted, but taking $10-$15Million or so out would be a good long term Investment. Keeping Miller around probably wont be great for donations is my guess. I think the General Endowment doesn't specifically allow Athletics but a few years ago there were "quasi" type of accounts within the endowment where money was donated specifically for Athletics -

This is the last year at IU for TJD, not even a question. it is a business decision. You don't pass up a few million dollars to return to play College Basketball. Where he ends up who knows, but he will get drafted and he will get a few million for being drafted. -

Yeah, the last 4 years have shown, you don't want to play players who are playing well, you might win
