Whats this bull malarkey about Glass hangin'...
ViaSwiss replied to DawgBawls's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This NIT thing would have been the perfect opportunity to host the game somewhere in Indiana that doesn't get to see IU play much....Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, etc. Most of the attendance would be cheering like crazy for the team because its one of the few opportunities to see them in person. But we accepted a true road game against a team that is good at home. -

Mile at 247 said this a few mins ago OK guys. In order to put my inbox to rest, and me too. Here's more I can share with you. Much as I have told all the great members asking what is going on. Keep in mind. I have not had the time to verify this. You guys have kept me busy. And I will always answer questions... so long as they are cordial. Which all of them have been today. And for those that have not gotten messages to their inbox. Please check your user name in the upper right of the board. It will appear green if you have gotten a message. For all the others. Again, I have not had the time to verify. But it seems the soft landing for Crean is still in place. But rather than heading West. It is headed East.

Tubbys overall success at UK makes Crean look like a JV coach

He said the standard for IU soccer was to consistently get the to the final 4. It had been 4 years since the last one (which was a championship) so he let him go. IU Soccer only had 4 championships prior to him getting the school the 5th.

If Crean is returning then Glass is doing him a huge disservice. If he is fired today then he can leave with IU fans still being thankful for what he has done. If he returns, there will be animosity and fans will turn on him.

I welcome any statistical comparison of Crean vs Alford in this thread. I believe that Alford is a similar coach to Crean. However I am hoping some statistical analysis will show me that Alford is superior. Alford recruits Indiana much better than Crean does. I think Alford has 7 staff/players on his roster that are from Indiana. ----- OldFriend posted this in another thread.

(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
ViaSwiss replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Someone asked how Brooks is compared to Wilkes. Wilkes is much stronger and more explosive. Brooks is much more refined, better skills, better shot, but still lengthy and athletic. Wilkes to me a SF/PF mix. Brooks can play 1-4 positions. Wilkes reminds me a bit of Shawn Kemp while Brooks is like VJ Beachem (with more potential). Like VJ, Brooks has a long skinny frame with lots of athleticism and a good shot. He can play and defend both in the post and at the perimeter. Very smart player. Always plays under control. Plenty of room to get stronger. Like VJ though, a lot of the time he lacks aggression/killer instinct. Always emotionless. I hope with Butz gone next year Brooks can step into his own role more. Only going to be a junior. BTW. I have seen Pitino and Izzo at plenty of his games. Never once seen Crean there. I wont be surprised if IU drops off his list. Painter also recruits FW well. -
If Crean is retained the it means Glass is a liar.. From 2015
