Could have been last night... and then they left his morning.. I believe Hickory was saying last nights flight was "something"
-
I can't take this any longer.
-
The Thunder are on a 3 day rest. No game till Sunday.
-
HickoryHoosier saying that there is "something" to that plane from OKC to Monroe Ct?
-
Is the Jallow tweet what everyone is excited about right now? OR is there more? Sorry, been enjoying the weather all morning...
-
CAn someone explain the Todd Jallow rumour??
-
What a FAIL if we end up with Chris Mack. -his 2 best seasons are with Miller's players -no conference titles in last 6 years -5 of last 6 seasons have 13+ losses -never been past sweet 16 In many ways, Crean was a better hire than Mack would be.
-
LOL. He is and Indiana kid after all! Double check!
-
-
idk if i buy that. however, moderator at 247 said he knows for a fact that is happening
-
What happened then?
-
fwiw, ViaSwiss may be correct. Or a poster at 247 is copying him. A new poster there just posted this... "True, very connected sources tell me IU lowballed BD. Been lurking on this site and didn't want to get shouted down with all of Donovan love so now was a good time to sign in. I've been told by very connected people that the coaching search is a mess. That's why the outside firm was hired. Alford is the only name coach interested and we may not have enough money to pay him. Fred Glass about to put the final nail in Indiana bballs coffin. "
-
-
Why would Glass let an assistant talk him into bunking his biggest hire in his life?
-
Highly doubt that. No he didn't. He said his info is still the same, but his GUT was thinking Crean would be back the longer it was taking. I heard that rumor on Saturday at r/collegebasketball. Supposedly she was looking for horse ranches.
-
Career win % is similar to Creans. Never been past Sweet 16. Five of last six seasons had 13+ losses. Has not won conference in 6 seasons. His best seasons were when he inherited Sean Millers players. This is not the coach we are looking for.
-
link?
-
Unless he was talking about Steven H. Henke...who is on the iu foundation board. OR Nathan Feltman who is on the board of managers for the alumni association.
-
I want to believe.... except we do not have any trustees that reside in Carmel (Hamilton County).
-
Sark claims trustees tell him things. But he was 100% wrong with Crean, he said Crean was never going to be fired. He also said that literally our entire list of prospects already turned us down. He is a troll and he was just banned until today. Dont trust him

quote form Iowa States AD Many people think you hire search firms to identify [coaching] candidates. That’s not how it happens – at least not at Iowa State. I’m not doing my job if I don’t know who the candidates are. What we hired Parker Executive Search for, is to help us strategize and execute our plan. Daniel and Dan allowed us to be in a position to get the person that we wanted to get.” edIt: also found an article stating the firms "" • Receiving a signed statement from candidates confirming information and affirming that nothing else need be disclosed • Negotiating a contract on behalf of the university • Receiving signed terms of an agreement from the coaching candidate and all parties before the introductory news conference

FWIW, seems to be building. A guy just posted this on 247 Been lurking around this thread religiously for the past two weeks after hearing about it from Indiana Scott on the Hoosier.com board, and since I've been here for over 15 days now (and haven't posted much there, if at all) I thought I'd join the conversation over here. I have found the whole conversation regarding Billy D intriguing. I've been wanting him since last summer (when KD went to Golden State) because I felt with him gone BD wouldn't want to continue with the Thunder very long; he didn't sign up to not be a contender. From my sources, RW is a gifted player but a pain in the &^$% (cussing not allowed here, right?). And if you look at BD's track record, you couldn't ask for a better coach who would consistently have you in contention for championships. His teams have always been very good defensively (occasionally great), take care of the ball and more than adequate on the offensive end (compare that to Crean, whose teams were entirely reliant on offensive execution; his teams were poor defensively and had 1 in 5 possessions end in TO's). I know a few people (I can't say who) who have known Donovan since his days as a UK assistant under Pitino. They tell me he's a better person than he is a coach, extremely down-to-earth. I've been hearing from one of them that BD is indeed going to be our next coach, and he is a guy who has been right about a LOT of stuff that's gone on in Bloomington the last 4 years. Does that make it fact? No - but when you consider everything, it seems entirely plausible. I know one of the insiders here is suffering from PMS (had beer shoot out my nose as I was reading that ) but if anyone wants to shoot me a message I can provide what I know and compare. Lastly - love the atmosphere over here. If every thread has the same goodwill as this one, i'll be here a while. Evening, folks Taz

Email sent to each of them. I have emailed Glass every year the past 4 years. He used to give me a generic response but has not at all the past year.

In 2010 UNC hosted NIT game in a gym that was not their own....
-
This NIT thing would have been the perfect opportunity to host the game somewhere in Indiana that doesn't get to see IU play much....Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, etc. Most of the attendance would be cheering like crazy for the team because its one of the few opportunities to see them in person. But we accepted a true road game against a team that is good at home.
